I dread the thought of that line-up in green.

OJ Mayo is similar to Jeff Green in that he can be a nice, efficient 3rd or 4th option on a really talented team, but he's out of his depth on a team that lacks elite scoring options to draw the attention of the defense.

So no, I don't think he's a guy the Celtics should target.

It's not too much to give up but I have no interest in what is coming back.

Mediocrity incoming.  So many trades here are what I would call lateral moves.   We don't get much better from them.   We are not one piece away folks.

I dread the thought of that line-up in green.

His name is Missery.

 ;)

But honestly the only part I hate about that lineup, ironically, is Mayo.

Also, Thad Young wouldn't be too bad if we lose Sully or something. But why are we losing Sully in the first place?

So the part I like about that lineup is Sanders...and 1/2 Thad Young.

we can have like

starting PF young
back-up sullinger
starting C sanders
back-up humphries

back-to-back rest or injury
kelly o.

since having giannis at bucks, i think mayo is tradable, ramon sessions is somewhat a PG we got bayless for that, but asside from mayo
my other options as SG are tyreke evans, i don't know what will haven to nick young  or he stays, lets try this free agent ben gordon,
this rookies or 2 years players are also a good back-up lavoy allen, delavova, caliathes, mcculium, mcklemore, it really depends, we got all the assets

Talent wise it's a steal, but I don't want two headcases here on the Cs.

trade 1: I can't see Milwaukee taking that little in a deal even if they are 2 headcases and addition by subtraction.
Trade 2: I like Thad but he's more PF than SF and we already have Sully and KO.  Thad's more consistent than Green but doesn't have the peaks Green can provide.  it's a trade-off on which type of player you prefer.
trade 3: no thanks on Nick.  you'd need to send a lot more than AB for Tyreke.

IF those trades actually happened, Sanders and Mayo plug the holes a center and SG but now we're really got one at SF with just Wallace.  Mayo is not the go-to scorer the team needs.  Team may have a slightly better record but is still a lottery team but not close enough to the bottom to score a really high pick.  Deals are really just the type that would be considered "shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic"--not going to help the situation

who says no to wallace?
even wolves or pelicans need a SF, playoffs team like hawks and houston need a back-up sf
add a pick + bass package deal for a star player, who says no

who says no to Wallace?  every team that knows it can get an offensively-inept, SF out of the D-league for the minimum salary to do the same thing Wallace currently does

Haha, your title implies that you think OJ Mayo is better than Larry Sanders.  I could accept Mayo as a modestly-priced backup to Avery Bradley, but I don't want that contract and I don't think he would accept that role.
