Jazz take it.  10.3ish chance at 1st, 33.4ish chance of top 3.  Coinflip for one Ping-Pong ball and who gets the higher spot if neither moves up.

Tied for 4th is better than I expected headed into the season.  I expected the Celts would win close to 30 games and be lucky to get a top 10 pick.

Can't wait for the draft lottery.

and washington tied with brooklyn for win/loss. could the celtics move up to #17 as well? it almost feels like christmas...in a sad sort of way.

Hopefully we win at least one of those two coin flips!

Time to go spin chad ford's lottery machine....

Lowest I've gotten in like 6 tries is 5th! Even won once and a few top 3s! What's the worst pick we can get?

worst would be 7th or 8th depending on the coin flip with Utah.  that would require 3 teams higher than us to leapfrog us in the lottery and thus cause massive coronaries in everyone that has been rooting for the worst record possible

Did literally everything go our way tonight re: lottery stuff? Wow. Nets lost, Jazz and Lakers won, and we lost. The lottery is still a major crap-shoot, but hey, better odds are better odds.

according to tankathon.com....

rank  team     chance at top 3 chance at top 1
4   Utah       33.7%      10.4%
5   Boston   33.4%      10.3%

since the celtics started the night at 5th with a 29.1% of a top three pick, this is a significant improvement.

now the celtics have a 50-50 chance of getting the 4th slot to themselves.
