Just curious what everyone thinks about Evan Turner and the possibility of going after him this summer.

I see he'll be a RFA. Maybe Indy keeps him and would open to dealing him to the Celts for either Jeff Green or Gerald Wallace.

He seems to be a player that would work well with Rondo's up-tempo style of play.

Since the Pacers have imploded since trading for him, I want absolutely no part of him.

We're like 0-237,412,641 since Rondo came back from knee surgery, does that mean you want to trade him, too?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I'd rather have Turner than Bradley in a vacuum, but I don't really see the point in bringing him on (or bringing Bradley back) unless they sign very inexpensive contracts like 3-4 million a year.  They are nothing but role players and you don't pay role players decent money unless you have the stars in place, something Boston just doesn't have.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

The Pacers are NBA Championship contenders. The Celtics are Lottery contenders.

Evan Turner (ET) is a disaster who just kills the Celtics. I would rather he kill the Celtics twice a year playing for a WC team like Denver than kill the Celtics 82 times a year playing for us. Or he can go to Miami and he can't hurt us because he will never see the floor  ;D
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I hated, with a capital H, Turner's game in Philly. What he has done to the Pacers has only quadrupled my hatred of his game.

No thanks.  Pacers were comfortably in 1st place and after they got him, guess what happened to Indiana:

"The Pacers have recently began one of the most epic implosions in NBA history, and there seems to be no remedy in sight for Indiana. According to Philly.com, the latest issue for Indiana seems to be with their newest addition Evan Turner being considered as ‘selfish’ to his teammates."

"Up-tempo style of play"? There have been like fifty posts on the board the past few days about how his play is exactly the opposite!

what he has supposedly done to the Pacers is totally exaggerated. The fault is Bird's, not Turners. There was a very good article on the Bleacher Report talking about how the problem is that both Turner and Stephenson are young free agents this summer, so both are trying to get the stats they believe they need to land a big contract. If Bird had kept Granger, an older vet with no illusions, and let Stephenson do his thing, the Pacers would be ok.

Turner is a very talented young player who would be a great addition if we can get him for the right price.
