I'm a big Rondo fan but I have to agree - certain players do play better when Rondo is not out there being "hold the ball" Rondo.
When he first returned from injury Rondo was playing less ball dominant abd was moving the ball a lot more, and the team definately gained benefit from his presence. After a while though he seems to get back to being cocky and feeling like he has to do everything, and then he starts holding the ball to much and things turn bad.
I think Bradley, Green and Olynyk all pretty much just become spot-up shooters when Rondo is on the court playing typical Rondo basketball. I don't think that is the best way to utilise the skill set of those players.
I think people underestimate Pressy's impact as well. He is a non-factor as a scorer, yet when he is it there the whole offense trends to look great - he pushes the ball up the court fast and as soon ashe gets in the half court he immediately passes to the next guy and the ball movement gets started ..usually good things happen.
I think Bradley is actually underrated offensively. Not going to say he's a star scorer, but he is pretty explosive off the dribble and his pull-up jumper is deadly consistent and very hard to defend. I'll go out on a limb and say he's one of the best I've seen in the league at making that shot. His 3pt shot has developed as well, and he's been up around 36% -39% pretty much all season long, despite the fact that he's taken quite a lot of threes. His ball handling has improved dramatically, he doesn't make as many bad passes, and he's even improved at driving to the basket. Plus we all know he's always been a good cutter.
Guy can score and the improvement he's made since last season is huge...leaps and bounds. I think he's going to become a really good player
