If slapping hands and giving the defender an unintentional high five while trying to dunk is a foul, then sure. But since that's not a foul then I don't see where the complaint comes in on this one.

Pierce and KG have always been competitive with the Heat.  This makes sense.  You remove KG and Pierce from the Celtics and you got yourself a bottom 5 team.  You add KG and Pierce to the Nets and you got an elderly team that can make a playoff run.  Season went exactly as expected.

He got some body too but not nearly enough to warrant a foul call.  EDIT: Although looking at this it looks like Plumlee also puts his left hand on LeBron's chest.  Still not the sort of thing that gets called.

Closest thing to a foul by the book was Joe Johnson slapping LeBron on the midsection just after he caught the ball, but they don't call that at any point in the game, let alone crunch time.

It's kind of comical how everyone overreacted to Brooklyn's early struggles.  I kept saying, "Give it time... they'll be fine" ... and as the season comes to a close it looks like they'll be finishing with a healthy 3-5 seed.

On the flip side, I also said New York would be fine... and they aren't exactly fine.  They are still 1.5 games out of the playoffs.  Still time for them to get in, though.

Yea this is the video I'm talking about clean block to me. And yea they aren't going to call those little ticky tack brush the jersey fouls what Joe Johnson did they usually even let that get away when it's a shooter. You always see it at the three point line a guy gathers his dribble going up before the shot, and the defender gives them a little tap on the numbers (KG used to always do this) and it's hardly ever a foul.

This may not mean anything for the playoffs but to suggest Miami didn't take those games, especially this last one, that serious is laughable. Lebron was crying about that play instead of fouling, while leaving the court, and to the media... that game was important for their psyche, they wanted it b/c even if you believe you can beat a team you still need to get that win out of the way to cement that belief. Nets beat them 6-6 times this season. Right now Miami has to go on belief that they can beat Nets but they don't know that they can and that can play with your head when crunch time comes... Miami lost all the games because Nets executed better down the stretch (even when they let the Heat back in they cashed in on the needed possessions).

Then someone said BKN is slow... so you're saying they have the perfect playoff tempo? Also if fouling not called is how Miami thinks they lost, imagine the no calls in the playoffs, Mia might poop bricks!  How do you handle a team who will get the same calls/no calls as you?


All this won't matter in the end because I don't think BKN makes it far enough to meet them but if they do, Mia will have a fight, going through a team with enough star players that will be able to even out the way the refs make calls has got to be scary for Mia, the players on the Nets are use to going against Mia and not getting the big calls now they come together to form a team that can get a lot of calls even against Mia, thats gonna be a great series (if both make it). Then it's all about which team is better in crunch time, in that case I think BKN wins b/c they have more clutch players who can do it on their own. Miami has only Wade and Bron while BKN has PP, JJ, D-Will and a possible with Livingston. To me that is why BKN took the reg season series... they didnt have enough guys to clamp down on that many shot creators when it counted.

We will all see how it shakes out but don't be fooled, Lebron already left a team just to beat a team of PP, KG, and Ray... 2 of those guys are with the Nets and everyone knows they step it up in the playoffs, now add to that JJ, DWill, and how they matchup with Mia and you have some fear in the minds of Mia no matter what they say. Everyone banking on Mia to step up in the playoffs as if a group with PP and KG can't/don't do the same. Mia had trouble beating a hobbled Ray, KG, PP and RR with NO ONE ELSE of note, they replace Ray with JJ and RR with DWill, their supporting cast is much better than anything we ever had healthy in the playoffs and boom, Mia is on notice!

Add to the fact it is beyond difficult to 3peat and the 3 teams Mia has to go through or at the least 2 just to get to the Finals and this is the best I have felt (aside from when we played them), that some team is gonna get a banged up and exhausted ECF Mia who will not have enough gas in the tank. The other team will be tired too but Mia will be 4 seasons worth of tired from playing so many series abd a good amount of them were grind it out 7 games and a few 4-2 dog fights.. how many teams have made it to the Finals 4 seasons in a row...

1.5 games out understates the Knicks dire situation.

The Hawks magic number is a mere 3 with 5 Hawks games and 4 Knicks games left. So The Knicks would need to go 4-0 and have the Hawks go 2-3 for the Knicks to capture the 8 seed.

Now someone put up the playoff foul where RR got his face mushed, THAT'S a foul... this is nothing at all. They don't call any of those taps in the regular season and you definitely wouldn't get that call in the playoffs! With the way he acted after the game, you can tell he is not use to not being handed victories in tight games. I can see you arguing about it during the game, even sayin something to the media (which should be fined like everyone else) but he looked at it going into the tunnel, turned back, and started whining about it again. I so hope they meet in the playoffs with a healthy KG... gonna be a good series.

Now I also want the NYKs to make it, they will probably be swept by Mia but at least on paper they should be able to make it tougher on Mia than the Hawks will. I don't know how the brackets go but if Mia has to go through a group of NYK, BKN, and Ind. I don't see them coming out healthy enough to bang with a team that will come out of the West... like if SA comes out, that's gonna be killer to Mia. They can beat OKC again b.c they are too finesse but if they play any of SA, Mem, Hous, or the Clipps I just don't see Mia winning, especially if they have to beat 4 grinding tough teams, they won't have the health (maybe) or the energy (hopefully).
