Quote
"(Paul Pierce) has been playing well versus us. This year he's played better versus us than he did the last couple years in Boston. He's a big time player. He makes shots. He has that slow, methodical game where you don't know if he's going to shoot or go to the basket.

"Obviously there's bad blood there between us from the playoffs, but you can respect what Paul Pierce has done and what he continues to do in this game."

An injured Pierce vs. a healthy Pierce is a TOTALLY different player.

Mind games. I've learned not to take what teams say literally against others, it's all BS

well obviously he picks his spots now and isn't required to be the man like he was here. you saw it against the Heat today had a solid first quarter, but really came in after the half and set the tone for them on the defensive end. then when the fourth quarter rolled around took a backseat to joe johnson/deron and let them close it out whereas here he'd be fatigued trying to do it all alone (in his later years he just couldn't do it anymore). i'm happy for Paul love seeing him beat up on those guys I'll be pulling for him in the playoffs.

BS.

Last year, Pierce was no longer able to close out games consistently like he used to. This year on a team that struggled for two months, it looked like Pierce was closer to toast than truth, shooting 40% from the field. Has recovered strongly after January, still has at least another above NBA average year in him after this probably, and is still dangerous, but he's not the same player he was with us in any year of the Big 3 era. Pierce hasn't fallen off the face of the earth offensively like KG has, but he's drifting down.

He's learned from the best.

I loved watching Plumlee's block on Lebron and even more what Lebron had to say in his post-game interview.

As for Wade, he is just upset that the Heat went 0-4 against an inferior team (on paper).

How rich coming from a guy who plays when he feels like playing.

Under Stern's regieme...That extreme contact Plumlee made would've been a flagrant 4.
