It would be funny if the Lakers won the lottery despite finishing better than the Celtics.

What would be even more funny is ....to see Mitch make a pick that turns out to be a total bust....

Now that is funny stuff right there .......

Cry baby Laker punks.......hee hee hee .......watching Kobe waste away slow and sure...

Who joined to help with the cause? LOL

They called me a ball of slime because I made  comparison to Rondo and Nerlens Noel and how resting back to backs isn't exactly tanking.

I saw that!  That escalated fast.  Hahaha.

Whats funny is that apparently shutting down Pau Gasol and Kobe the rest of the season isn't tanking but sitting one player on back to back games definitely is and is a dirty move.

No, Lakers are playing it "safe" by resting Kobe and Gasol for the entire year. But I'll just throw it out to them and reference Derrick Rose. [dang] Laker fans need to quit crying lolol.

Haha, I like the guy who thinks multiple teams who are shooting for the playoffs deliberately let the Lakers beat them so they'd have a slightly worse chance of a top pick.  Looks like no fan base's got a monopoly on delusion.

It's quite interesting observing Lakers fans nowadays...

"Tanking" has NEVER been a part of Laker vocabulary...for the last 20 or so years.

Now it is, and I guess it's a shock to some.

And then, you have the split with "Kobe is god" fans, and the Laker fans that are for the Franchise, and not the player.

Part of the Laker's mess started when Dwight got a backbone and left for HOU...for a Star to leave LA? That was unprecedented to Laker fans who have become accustomed to having the best.

Most Laker fans don't know about a "Lean Years"....that word is foreign to them....may become very real to them, now.

BOS future looking a bit brighter...I'll always miss Pierce, KG AND Ray, but our future is looking brighter.

No more Lean Years.

Laker Fans may be seeing one here soon. I'll take Rondo's supposed warts (and youthfulness) over an aging Kobe any day.

Hope the Karma for the Mitch intentional tank ..... Holding back players comes around and bites the Laker trash in butt.

Lakers need to suck for about 20 years and see what it's like ...not stealing other teams players and see having a empty gym gets them.

Hope Doc and CP3 run the Laker trash out of town ...back to Boone Dock Minn from where they came.

They have the nerve to talk smack about us rebuilding .....as they tank like crazy these last  games.

Come on Mitch ...where is the Kobe never say never attitude .....LoL.......chumps ...what I thought.

Haha...it's so ironic that Doc and CP3 are in process of re-writing the "Clips-Lakers" story.

I remember vividly when, after the lockout, it was rumored that we'd get CP3...then LA was supposed to get him...

...then David Stern swiftly came in and gave the Lakers the smackdown, lol....no CP3.

And now Doc is sticking it to the Lakers.....the Clips trounced them today 120-97...beat them by like 50 a couple of weeks ago.

I am truly happy for Doc...he was only able to destroy the Lakers once in Green (That glorious June 17, 2008), but he will surely destroy the Lakers over the next few years...slowly (but surely) re-writing and re-shaping that landscape out there.

Good on Doc (and Glen Davis AND CP3). At least two former Celtics will give the Lakers much pain here for the next few years.

And Kobe, no matter how healthy he is - will not be able to stop the future.

Whatever I ain't mad.

We still won game 7 vs those nimrods in 2010. AND they were up 13 in the 3rd.

So choking hasn't exactly been a revelation this season for those green ****s.

Obviously isn't mad

The bottom line for some Laker fans is that they are hoping for a great lotto pick, for Kobe to return to greatness, and for Pau to dip into the fountain of youth.

With their situation, though - even Wiggins/Parker/Embiid can't get them past OKC, HOU, Spurs, GSW...and if they think the lottery can, well:

Not even worth pointing out to those idiots what hypocrites they are. I think it's funny how Kobe literally laughed off tanking on ESPN recently, "If you're gonna be bad, may as well be the best at it!". Adam Silver should be telling him not to condone tanking like that.

Tanking is A-OK when they do it but us doing it makes us 'classless'. Whatever.

Adam Silver seems to condone tanking himself.

Picking up right where David Stern left off, not surprising.

"We have a system in place that encourages teams to rebuild," he said after the talk sponsored by Boston College in the hometown of the Celtics, who are among the league's rebuilding teams. "They are responding to the incentives that are built into the system. If the incentives aren't right, we have to change them."

To my reading, he's pretty explicitly talking about teams and players and coaches going out and actively throwing games, not about divesting a team of talent in order to get a high draft pick.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.
