I've probably said it before, but if there's literally ever been a time to rig a lottery it's this year. Give Boston and LA the top two picks and it's a marketing platinum mine. Wiggins vs. Embiid, C's vs. Lakers, renewed hope.. All that.

If there was ever a team getting #1 that would prove the lottery is not rigged, it would have to be the Bucks.

Olajuwon!  Bowie!  It's the Rockets and Blazers next on NBC!  (cue John Tesh) :)

Sadly things don't always work as planned and the NBA draft is about like predicting the weather.  If history is any indication, one of the top two players will flop.

I suspect this happens if Silver is like Stern.

If Silver is like Stern, at least the shameless 6'ers will get shafted.

Honestly, for a while now I've felt that the absolute best outcome for Celtics fans and for the league as a whole would be if the Celtics and Lakers got the #1 and #2 picks, and for Wiggins and Parker (in whatever order) to go on to be career-long rivals as superstar wing players.

Yes, agreed with this. I think it would make for some nice drama and entertainment.

The worst thing that can happen though is that these players collude in one offseason, say 4 years from now, ala Miami Heat.

What if they all joined the Celtics three years from now?  ;D

Would be better if it was Wiggins v. Parker. Embiid plays a completely different position so they would never go head to head. More drama if it were to be two wing players.

But the rest of the league would go nuts if this happened.

If the Celtics and Lakers end up going numbers one and two in this years draft, it will be almost absolute proof that the draft lottery is completely legit.  That would just be too obvious for the league to try to get away with.

Yeah. They should just rig it Celtics/Lakers to make it seem like they're not rigging it to hide the fact that they're rigging it once and for all.

Riggin for Wiggins baby

I could live with it as long as we got 1st pick...then they could get 2nd.

Rondo / Wigs (Or Embiid?) in Green, and Jabari / Kobe in Purp and Gold....yeah I could live with that.

Larry Vs Magic all over again...I guess I could live with that......I think...even though, admittedly, I wouldn't mind Lakers having some misfortune in the draft, too ;D.

Forgive me for going back and forth on this, lol.....I remember Larry saying something to the effect of "just wanting to see Magic suffer" during their rivalry. This is why I wouldn't mind LA having some misfortune.
