I'd like to completely overhaul the two and three positions in this draft, and although both players project as SF's most likely. With Kyle Anderson's versatility he could play one through three  and he is long enough and just quick enough to play defense in the NBA. TJ Warren is going to be good. Really good perhaps.

 Sullinger
 TJ Warren
 Kyle Anderson
 Rondo

Trade Green for either a big or assets. Anderson size and passing ability and ball handling could be a huge weapon.

Only if they are the best player available when the Celtics pick.  I'm not a fan of drafting for position, especially given the Celtics' current roster.

As well as one of the highest IQ teams of all time.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Only way I'd be happy with those two is if we got our hands on another 'potential' guy that a team wants to unload like Larry Sanders but even then I think I'd be disappointed.
Don't get me wrong I like both guys- they could be All Stars- but I think there are some 'franchise' potential guys. I think if we end up getting a top 5 pick with a little luck then we should be hoping for far better players than those two.
I'd be looking at those guys exclusively with our second pick around the 16-20 spot. Wouldn't consider either in my top 10.

I'd be happy with either Warren or Anderson but not both (unless they are each clearly BPA). That line up listed wouldn't be able to guard a statue on defense.

In the NBA I think Kyle Anderson is a 3/4, not a guard. I don't think he has the foot speed to stay with a 1 or 2 and definitely lacks the defensive fundamentals to do so right now.

I would be extremely disappointed if we drafted two guys with limited upside, and below average athleticism. I'm hoping for players who might not be elite now but have the chance to be elite and help the C's get back to elite status in a couple years.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think both guys are probably bench players long term, although I think each of them has the ability to be a useful player.

So yeah, I'd be disappointed if that's all we ended up with.

Anderson, I would not mind.   He is very tall for a guard and could cause matchup problems in the low post or simply with his length.   Now he has limitations, average lateral foot speed but he is a great passer and shooter.   Basketball IQ can compensate some for athletic ability which he has in spades.   But I would not take him with our first pick.

Given where our picks are I wouldn't be happy with those two. I can see either with our second pick being a good one though.

I would be slightly disappointed. It would be a little bit of a let down considering all the hopes I have for this draft. I'd rather come away with a quality big and a quality wing.

Something like Vonleh 1st & Hairston 2nd  or Exum 1st & Cauley-Stein 2nd. Really going to rely on Danny's team to make the best decisions and hope they nail them.

Ideally, we get the luck of the leprechaun and nab Embiid at #1 or #2, and Warren, Anderson or Hairston etc at #18. Those lottery balls haven't bounced our way in a while (if ever).

I would be happy with Warren and Anderson if the Celtics selected 14 and 18.

At 6 they can do better. At 18, I think there will be a wing pool available of some of the guys like Warren, Anderson, Lavine, Hairston, or a surprise slider. I had really been hoping for Stauskas at 18, but he might be gone.
