The final new star of the Chinese Basketball shoe company 'Anta,' led by KG is Chandler Parsons.

I don't especially like the sound but who knows if its muffled due to that not being the official Youtube video, but I think they should they have gone with a PG to fit the whole 'team,' type setting.

If anyone forgets, Rondo signed with the company in October. I was still always surprised that Rondo never had a shoe even though he was signed with Nike for such a long time.

Yes the 4 players listed above are promoting a video for their sneakers around China, and some of it will broadcast later on in America. Google translate is terrible, but it seems like their main focus is to try to reach out to fans in China. KG/Kobe are two players extremely well known in China. I wouldn't be surprised if they could somehow get a contact with a loop hole to allow Kobe to team up.

but to be honest with you, last time I went back to Hong Kong and China to visit family...those who "claim" they are fans of the NBA, cannot name a full team of players or even all 30 teams.

I mean, [dang], they can't even name some of the star players out there that are not named Lebron, Durant, Kobe, KG, Dwight, Wade or any big market players

I mean they know some...but I doubt they know Chandler Parsons

I was offended the last time I went back that they said the Celtics didn't win much championships and none that they remembered recently...I was this close to throwing him out the window with that comment, but it's all good, I ended up beating his team 1v5 ;)

but then again, China is a bigger market with more money to throw around, so maybe Rondo/KG/Chandler made the right choice to being endorsed by them...

Honestly when I was in China last year I had to search for any Anta gear, I was really interested in buying a pair of KG's shoes but had no luck finding them in Beijing, Shanghai or Hong Kong. Only thing I found was a jacket in a random mall in Beijing.

Li Ning is far and away the most popular athletic brand in China. They've pretty much copied Nike's logo and appear to copying their branding campaigns as well.

It doesn't matter where its designed. They're all made in China. LOL.
In fact 90% of all things are probably made in China, so the quality doesn't bother me. I can live with it.

I'm sure Anta is holding up well. Rondo, Scola, Parsons nor KG has not blown out any shoes yet.

But Nike's have been blown out like 3 times this season with Manu Ginobilli, Andrew Bogut and Tony Wroten. So that buries your theory that if its designed in America, its all good.
