It's that time of year again.

Quote
The Cleveland Cavaliers' chances of making the playoffs may have taken a massive hit when point guard Kyrie Irving suffered a left biceps injury Sunday that could cost him the rest of the season, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Edit: They're 6 back in the loss column from the Hawks with just 15 to play I imagine he's getting shut down no matter what the MRI says.

Bummer. Can't seem to stay healthy for a full season.

I just checked implications for our lottery slots, quickly.

1. We're 4 games "up" on them with 15 to go, so I don't think we need to worry too much about their finishing worse than us. They do have a fairly tough schedule however.

2. We do play them once, in CLE, game 80. Our other primary competitors (LAL, SAC, UTA) do not play them, being in the West.

Considering their recent spate of luck in the lottery, this could end up being a blessing in disguise for the Cavs.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
He's slowly starting to become the new Andrew Bogut.

Not a lot of recurring injuries but just darn unlucky. Every season seems like he's going to get hurt. One year it'll be in the leg, in the arm the next, and in another body part the next.

Indeed, a bummer.

Kinda, I'm not sure how many of his prior injuries weren't just tanking disguised as caution/rehab.

This one certainly seems legit.

He's essentially a fragile Stephon Marbury at this point in his career anyway.

Which isn't a bad thing, really, but I wager I've always been higher on Starbury than many posters here.
