So I did the lottery machine 10 times and averaged out where we landed and we ended up with the 4th pick so im going to go with that lol. For our sake we are going to hope that New York makes it up to the 8th seed and Atlanta falls out which is looking possible. Lets say Atlanta ends up being the 15th pick. (fingers crossed)

Trade Bass's expiring away to to the grizzlies for Prince's expiring and a future 2nd.

Next I think we have to get a center and I believe Emeka Okafor could be the perfect stop gap who could still have alot to offer.

(Espn recomended) 3 year/$8.3mil first year partial guarantee 2nd and 3rd no guarantee which makes this a very non risky move as we can simply cut him if need be or he could play his self into some value which I would also be happy with.

Sign Bradley to his qualifying offer. Unless he does something big in these last few games I dont think he will get alot of attention from any teams.

Draft: Assuming Wiggins Parker Embiid go in the top 3 I say we go

Pick 15: James Young

I think Young needs to add some more weight and improve his consistency but I believe he is one of the most underrated prospects in this draft as he doest everything pretty well. While I dont know alot about Exum everyone is saying he has the most starpower out of anyone as long lanky athletic scorer, who can also be an excelent defender. He may take a couple years to adjust to the nba game but we are in no hurry right? You can start him right away or let him be back up to both guard spots.

This sets our DC for opening day 2014 to

PG: Rondo, Pressey, Exum
SG: Exum, Bradley
SF: Green, Young, Wallace
PF: Sullinger, Olynk/Humphries
C:  Okafor, Humphries, Fav, Anthony

I'd like to cut prince if his deal isn't fully guaranteed. Or we could keep to make a move at the trade deadline.

Also I like the versatility of exum and young. Exum gives us insurance to rondo and or could make him expendable because I think young could thrive at the 2 as well. Exum young green Sullinger Okafor and whoever rondo would possibly bring in. It gives us a lot of options for possible trades because of their versatility.  Not saying I'm a fan of moving rondo but it would definatly be more appealing if we had his heir apparent in place.

I like Hump and from a talent perspective, I'd like to have him back.  from a roster perspective, we've got 3 other PFs and our pick figures to land in a spot where a PF will probably be BPA.  thankfully the draft will happen before we have to decide but I think Hump moves on for the sake of his own career -- both for money purposes and to go after a title.

Bogans will be gone one way or the other.  either cut or used as trade filler treated like an expiring deal.  Bayless will be gone as well.  neither would exactly be considered anything other than an obvious move.

Not sure why you think Memphis would take Bass.  Not sure about Prince's deal but all things being equal, I'd rather have Bass than Prince at this point.  Bass still could be moved at the trade deadline (if not sooner) to a team looking for frontcourt help.  Prince won't net anything at this point.

a few years ago I'd have loved to get Okafor.  no, not so much.  he needs to play a season and stay healthy before I'd sign him.  there are other cheaper centers out there to fill out the roster.  that's all the team needs for next season since we won't be ready to begin the ascension to the playoffs until 2016.

I'm leaning towards not resigning AB unless it's for dirt cheap for 3 years or less.  I really think the second first rounder we use will be on a SG that will have better offense than AB.  I see AB as just a guy off the bench to pressure either a tired starting or a backup PG.  he's not starting material and I wouldn't pay him as such.  if he gets a better offer somewhere else, try to swing a S&T for him.

In terms of the picks, I like Exum and on the fence about Young.  I honestly think anything lower than the 3rd pick will be traded in a deal for either an established player or a prospect and a lower lottery pick UNLESS one of the top 3 prospects unexpectedly drops into our laps.

Young has the ability to play gs and sf. Even if we didn't get exum i would take young over Bradley at gs I don't see him as starter material anymore either. But his qo is like 3 mil I think I think he would be a good guard off the bench like you said as a defensive presence. But I'm starting to like the idea of exum because he can create offense for himself other and he can play off the ball

Regarding Bogans, I think that its highly unlikely that they cut him. He is valuable (his contract is) because whoever we trade him too, if I understand it correctly, can immediately cut him and save a bunch of $$$.

The reason for the cut was to make sure we had the money to sign the players I mentioned. And the reason for the bass trade (to someone else's statement) was to open the minutes to Olynk and Sullinger.
