If I may, just copying and pasting this link from the cover page of the site.

http://www.celticsblog.com/2014/3/14/5507798/wyc-grousbeck-thinks-there-could-be-some-fireworks-this-summer

Hopefully those fireworks mean getting a big name player (Melo, Love) and assembling a team good enough to go deep into the playoffs in 2015 ;D

I think the twitter comment that Jeff RTed said it best: "They just mailed the season ticket renewals".

Haha!

When I quickly glanced at the headline I thought it said "There could be someone fired this summer".

Lol....yeah could be that too.

I've got to think that ticket sales this year are at an all-time low and that hurts ownership's wallet.

You can get away with a 15 year rebuilding plan in Charlotte or Milwuakee, but here in Boston, the leash won't be quite as long (or, at least I'd like to hope.)

Wyc is going to call out Ainge at the Garden during the last home game of the season and say this:

I still think we will have a semi-repeat of the KG, Rayray summer. I'm guessing we will add a big star and a second piece to make a new Rondo trio.

A 15 year rebuilding plan? I don't think CHA or MIL ever planned or will plan to suck for 15 years.

I suppose it depends on how you define "rebuilt".

The opposite might actually be more true. Ainge has a longer leash. The reason many GMs do dump things is because their ass is on the line and they have to show progress, even at the expense of the long term health of the team. Ainge could probably have a 10 year rebuild and still get away with it because management has his back.

C's attendence has been pretty good this year considering the record. Not a huge decline, though I'm sure they're hurting on how much money they can get for the tickets.

Going to have to beg to differ with you on that.

If it takes 10 years to put together a winning team, then any owner in his right mind would tell Ainge what Vince McMahon said in the YouTube clip above.

I don't think that ownership's really feeling it, to be honest.

There sure will be. And they'll be shot from a barge on the Charles across from the Shell.

To rebuilt to a playoff level is one thing .

To rebuild to a level that a title is serious thought  Is another matter.

Wyc sounds like he wants wiggins. If this happens Green is likely out. Hopefully the hawks trade their 1st for him.

Cant see AB coming back. And hopefully we add a center that can play for next year

The only way to trade Green, I think, is to take back close to comparable dollars, right?  If so, it would have to be something like Demarre Carroll and Lou Williams for Green.  Carroll has a higher efficiency rating than Green by himself and Lou has a 13.3, which is just slightly lower than Green's 13.6.  There is NO way Atlanta would give us their first round pick in this scenario, unfortunately.

Any other ways to get their pick while trading Green?

Ha....this sounds about right.

I still think Summer '15 is when the fireworks happen or "maybe" trading deadline next year.
