I like KO. I hope he sticks around. I don't think he will ever be an All Star but I think he could be a nice 6th or 7th guy playing and offensive role as a first big off the bench somewhere.

to t breezy played for rollie mass for two years my junior and senior years Lexington high -we won bay state tourney my junior year and I captained for rollie my senior year we tied Middlesex league champs and lost in semis of state tournament by one point after we had beat the top seeded undefeated Jamaica plain our co champ wakefield went on to win in finals-rollie mass preached ball you man defense no zones practise was defensive motivated had to be able to stay down the whole game-a true motivator and coach he took a very mediocre basketball program turned it around and left a legacy-he recruited Ronnie lee from boston who made to pros -massimino was a winner brought in from new jersey a ball of energy and a temper diffused with his sense of humour-if tommy heinson reads this I bought one of your watercolours at a charity auction at Copley plaza like 40yrs ago, went to jungle jims basketball camps as teenager and played against cousy in high school exhibtion all star game scored on him the 2nd time I drove he elbowed me in kidney that night I was admitted to hospital for blood in urine for 4days -it taught this kid a pro lesson--breezy asked for this-contacted rollie a few years ago -he remembered me as the skinny kid that was all over the court-

No, Rookie or not, he was a waste of a draft pick.  He would of been available in the 2nd round.  I personally think he sucks but we have him for a few years so it's a wait and see.  We certainly can't trade him because no one wants him unless Rondo was in the deal.

- He definitely would not have lasted until the 2nd round. It's likely he wouldn't have made it past #15.
-He actually has positive trade value, believe it or not. Rondo would not have to be part of a deal including him. He may actually end up making the all-rookie 1st team (definitely 2nd team selection).

I am not an enormous Olynyk fan, but I like that he is a smart, skilled player who seems willing to learn and work hard. I have no doubt he will at least be a rotation player for many years in this league.

Agreed on this assessment. In a draft widely regarded as terrible, Olynyk has shown that he will not be a bust, and that he will be a player in the NBA. We already know based on what he's done and what he's doing that we didn't pick a lemon. We might be able to make some lemonade with this guy. Height, smarts, shooting, passing and desire to succeed will ensure Kelly sticks around in the league.

If the question is yes or no, the answer is obviously a yes. Keep developing KO and watch him become more and more of a contributor. Now let's see what we can add in a stacked draft w/ 2 1st rounders!

Reportedly the reason we traded up for Olynyk is because Utah was poised to grab him at #14.  I'm sure they'd rather have him than Shabazz right now.  Either way there's 0 chance he drops out of the first round.

I think he can be a decent big, folks.   One year does not a player make.  He needs to get stronger and player stronger.   When he misses it is because he tries to shoot off balance.  I wish he would shoot it when he caught it instead of faking himself off balance and then shooting.

He's startint to prove to be a serviceable big.   I think he's more of a rotational first or 2nd big off the bench moreso than anyone who will be playing starter minutes. 

I just wonder if he's with the Celtics for longterm or will get moved as part of a package for a top 25 talent.

Yeah, he has improved steadily over the course of the season. He keeps looking more and more like a quality big to bring off the bench and give you 20 minutes per night.

He has been a bright spot this season.

KO seems to be improving every game when given steady minutes. He seems pretty efficient to me in the games he has played. With his shooting, passing and surprisingly good offensive rebounding. He is still a rookie and I really like him. Hopefully he'll keep improving. Definitely a top 5 rookie imo.
