No, Rookie or not, he was a waste of a draft pick. He would of been available in the 2nd round. I personally think he sucks but we have him for a few years so it's a wait and see. We certainly can't trade him because no one wants him unless Rondo was in the deal.
What are you talking about? There is so much wrong with your [short] post, I don't even know where to begin.
- He is a rookie and that matters. He has shown very decent progress as the season has continued.
- He definitely would not have lasted until the 2nd round. It's likely he wouldn't have made it past #15.
-He actually has positive trade value, believe it or not. Rondo would not have to be part of a deal including him. He may actually end up making the all-rookie 1st team (definitely 2nd team selection).
I am not an enormous Olynyk fan, but I like that he is a smart, skilled player who seems willing to learn and work hard. I have no doubt he will at least be a rotation player for many years in this league.
