At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
It's so easy to forget how many stupid and crazy people get elected to public office. Not like banal every day stupidity or like, quiet crazy. But real fringe stuff. The deadspin link has a follow up comment from the guy cementing the idiocy. Just real choice cuts of irrationality, with just the finest touch of oblique implied racism, giving the whole thing a real dose of idiotic umami.

If dumb unnecessary comments were wines, this would cost $200 a bottle.

What gets me is that the guy clearly follows the NBA at least semi-closely.  One of those weird self-loathing fans.  I'm gonna guess this comes with the usual side of adoring the NFL while criticizing the NBA for having a "high arrest rate".

A lot of hockey fans in this neck of the woods have an unbridled hatred for all things basketball.  Call it "Little Sport Syndrome."  They get angry that the NBA is bigger part of American culture, so to get revenge on what they see as some kind of cosmic unfairness, they rip on the NBA (and basketball in general) every chance they get.
