I think you're vastly underrating LaMarcus Aldridge by not considering him.  Of the potentially available players out there, I think LMA is the one who can be a game-changer.  The problem is that extend- and- trade deals, like we got with KG, have been completely neutered by the new CBA.

I would love to see LMA in Celtics Green, but I'm not sure I'd trade the house for him.  I do not see Rondo and LMA raising banners.  Rondo and one of those three I mentioned could.

I agree, but its worth pointing out that he's 4 years older, too.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

The only beatable games rest of season are Pistons x1, Knicks x1, 76ers x2, ATL x1, BKYN x1 and Cleveland x1.  That is only 7 games and we're 5 games out.  We would have to win all of those and probably upset someone like Chicago while all the other teams would have to lose basically every game.  It's just not happening. Detroit plays the 6ers again, too. On top of that, we're probably going to lose to the Knicks in a few days.

I'd say a bigger worry is getting the 14th pick while not making the playoffs.  Worst of both worlds

Raptors and wizards are beatable. We already beat them once this season and came close in other games.

We are much more likely to make the playoffs than finishing with the 14th or 13th pick.  The suns have a 14.5 game lead on us for that unfortunate position, and Minny has a nine game lead.  Even 12th is highly unlikely, as we'd have to probably finish 9th in the East, meaning we passed three teams above us, and ahead of Denver, who has a better record than Atlanta.  A .500 finish probably isn't putting us worse than 10th.  Just not enough time left to pass that many teams.

+1. Either 9 or 10 or jump to 15th

Rondo is not the whole team. We can win against those teams imo

We will see what happens. Happy to see our team progress and grow together. Wins are always good to see

Exactly

Blake who is already better than LMA if he continues to improve will be a monster in 4 years.

Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. @ the notion of Olynyk winning ROY. Not happening.

Is he not winning bc you dont think much of his game or you think mcw , oliadipo (both mediocre stats) are going to win

^ makes a lot more sense when you throw out crazy idea's like that.
Every year there are 6-7 teams with a lower winning percentage than our current record. I think we've gotten so used to ignoring the bottom feeders since 2008 that we've forgotten how bad some teams are.

He's never been in the conversation this season - ever.  He's as much a "legit candidate" for Rookie of the Year as anyone not named Durant or LeBron is for MVP (and, let's be honest, that's Durant's award this year).  ROY is a three-man race between MCW, Burke, and Oladipo, who've proven to be the three most impactful rookies this year.  Philly is a horrible team with MCW, but they're pretty much not an NBA team at all without him.  It's not simply a coincidence that the Jazz started winning when Burke debuted after rehabbing his injury.  Finally, Oladipo's energy, hustle, and defense have been immeasurable for the Magic so far.

Olynyk is in the ROY conversation as much as Joakim Noah and Blake Griffin are in the MVP conversation - that is, not in any meaningful manner.

Want nothing to do with the playoffs. We need a high draft pick in order for this rebuild to work properly.

Danny doesnt care for a high pick from what it looks like. I trust what he is doing. He has got us a championship from ground up already once
what are you talking about dude??? Seriously, "ainge built a championship from the ground up" yeah ummmm howd he dp that? OH Riggght with a high lottery pick! Seriously dude making the playoffs would be a disaster. And yes its all about 18. If i wanted to just watch fun basketball and not care about championships id be a grizzlies or suns fan. Idek how someone can p---es your opinion at this point in the season.
