Especially with how bad the Hawks are playing lately (1-9), Nets a beatable team without lopez and Bobcats are the Bobcats.

The east is just bad this year and likely no team or two from 6-10 is going to run away with wins.

If we make the playoffs it will be a nightware situation for many "tank" fans. But i think won't be too upset as the team is moving fwd in the right direction.

Rondo is playing better and had a good game today. Green has been on a nice streak the last 6-7 games (scoring on avg 17 plus, and with several 20 plus point games) , Humprhies, Bayless are providing steady productions, Sullinger is now coming back to form and KO at this rate will end up getting the ROY award.

Add that AB is coming back soon to provide tough defense and hopefully minus the chucking and we have as good as chance from 7-11 to make it in.

Games we have a chance to win in March

Knicks
Suns
Pelicans
Nets x2
Raptors x2
Bulls

In April (8 games) we play no tough teams. All teams from 6-last from the east.

Wizards x 2
Bobcats
76rs x 2
Pistons
Cavs

so we make playoffs and miss out on JaWiggEmbExum.

All we need to do is tank 19 games and come back strong next year.

Why cant you selfish self-aggrandizing, instant gratification folks just sacrifice 19 games for the good of the franchise.

Yupp... and 87% of the fan base would prefer to see us bottom out this year.

Bummer.   This was my fear with Rondo coming back... he'd play us out of a star player.  2 game win streak took us from #4 pick to #7.   A couple more wins we'll have the 10th pick.   Few more wins after that, we're looking at a nice 1st round exist and pick #15

If Danny really wanted to tank for JaWiggEmbExum , all he had to do was hire Jay Larranaga as coach for this season, trade Green, Humphries, AB, Bass (even for 2nd round picks like the 76rs) and trade Rondo for less.

But he didn't. Like he has said all along and i don't think he is bluffing , he doesn't see a standout coming out from this years draft. But probably sees a strong draft in general and can pull out two good players to help the team from 10-20

We are 5-13 with Rondo in our lineup. LOL at him playing us out of a star. Wins came against Philly, Orlando, Hawks (lost 13 out of 14), Nets and Pistons.
Fact is we are a bad team who wins games against other bad teams. Nothing to do with Rondo.

naw. But maybe you should cut down.

KO is on fire and yes at this rate will win the ROY. He is avg what, 17 points per game, 6-7 rebounds. That is not just a good stat for a rookie, that is a pretty good player in this league

Juggling a. Tank and fan base who are now reacquainted with the winning spirt of the KG era, is tuff to do.

Slowly reloading the team , and getting a good draft pick is a delicate assignment for DA

I do think Hump has earned a nice offer to stay on the Celtics for the long haul.

Wow, the east really must stink if we can be in the playoffs. I could see if this was like football and it was one and done. But with basketball this seems like a joke,

Forgive me if this seems illogical. I've had many drinks tonight and things are a blur.

Because we enjoy watching sanctimonious tankers cry?

If Ainge really wanted to tank, he would have insisted that Stevens keep starting Bradley at point guard?

If KO even gets ONE #1 ROY vote, I'll give you $1000. ROY awards are given to players for consistent in-season performance, not to players who started to play well after the All-Star break.

well whatever... forget landing a star in the draft.  If Oly can play like this with 35+ minutes a game, we'll officially have 3 quality players on the team (Rondo, Sully, Oly)
