the pick.   sadly i don't think it will make much difference.  this draft class is completely overrated.
Jerry West said it was. And even if he's a Laker I'd take his word about anything basketball related. I'm actually 100% sick of hearing about this draft. I've forced myself to watch college basketball (painful) this year and I'm not overwhelmed with any of these kids.

They say this draft class is the next LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwyane Wade though!  :o

[/quoteThey need glasses. I'm sure a few of them will be really good. But I don't see anyone who you could build a championship team around. Perhaps we could trade the pick.

I would rather make the playoffs so I can point and laugh at the tank brigade a few years from now when Ainge proves you can rebuild a team into a championship contender without a top five pick.

Screw it... beating Brooklyn felt good.  The heck with ping pong balls.  Let's make the playoffs, baby!

I wish I could give you 100 TP's

that is sensational.

I really don't want to be stuck in a cycle of mediocrity. And I don't want to see us get crushed by Indiana.

I'd much prefer we get an exciting young player and see what happens.

How would you like to see the Celtics give the Heat a surprisingly tough series that ends up battering them just enough to cost them a series against Indiana?

Looks like we are unbeatable with the new hot shooting Rondo .

Looks like playoffs here we come .

Look out Heat.

That's a dilemma

It would probably take about 15 more wins, which would equal a .750 winning percentage over the remaining quarter of the season, for the Celtics to make the playoffs.

I'd be psyched if our team could pull that off.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I've been in the pro-lottery crowd since day 1 too and obviously, I go for top 5 pick. I hope rondo and sully and green go down with an "injury" soon.

I like how every gm asked about this draft says "it's overrated". yet all these guys are or were trying to acquire picks for this yr while holding on to their own like they were gold.

i'll admit I know very little about this yrs prospects as I just don't follow college basketball regularly. I usually get interested towards the end of the tourney. but my overall thought is there is no LeBron, mj, or bird this yr.

I wonder if these gm's actually think otherwise though. or is it just a matter of they don't value the next couple yrs prospects as much.

The pick has a chance of helping the playoffs not so much.
