Maybe.  They could be the 76ers.

The Clippers were motivated and the Lakers weren't, it was that simple. No fight back in the Lakers that night.

The Lakers did just beat Portland not too long ago, so they're definitely not being obvious as much as their effort has become inconsistent it seems.

Lol....imagine what teams like the Lakers, Sixers, Bucks and Celtics will look like the final week of the regular season.

Don't be surprised if to see some of their players come out blindfolded.

Well they beat the trailblazers a couple days ago...

Game was really close after the first quarter when I turned it off.

What's worse on top of all it, next year Kobe comes back, Pau will be healthy, plus their current talent, and a top 5 pick in the draft on top of being a desitnation place for free agents.  Next year with a Big 3 of Kobe, Pau and Draft pick plus whatever free agent goes there. They could be challenging for a title quicker then us.

Odds are their pick is going to be outside of the top 5:

Of course, I just simmed it again and they got the #1 overall pick, because of course.

On the other hand, Kobe's breaking down, and Pau will be a free agent and might not re-sign with them.

That, and they are going to have alot of cap space next year.

think I heard someone on Sportscenter saying the Griz are a possible destination for Pau because he can reunite with his brother.

They aren't going to have much cap room if they resign Pau Gasol. Kobe's contract number cripples there chance to be a contender in the short term.

Kobe's contract prevented anyone from taking the Lakers serious until he's retired.

The lakers know what they're doing. They're buying time. Kobe will be coming back next year, granted not 100%, and he will be molding the Lakers' top 5 pick. Then they're going to splurge during 2015 free agency.

Their players are trying and playing hard, but they're just that bad. Kent Bazemore went from being the hype man on the Warriors to having to score 20 per in LA.
Pick 2 Knicks:
PG: Deron Williams/Kemba Walker
SG: Wesley Matthews/Nick Young
SF: Carmelo Anthony/Mike Dunleavy
PF: Tristan Thompson/Carlos Boozer
C: Tyson Chandler
8th pick in each round

Not really. They'll have enough for one max-contract that they won't get. As of now they're keeping Nash on the books for next year, not waiving him or stretching him.
