Man.  Wasn't this guy out of the league for 2 years?

41 points tonight in a victory over OKC.  He had 33 points on Sunday.  Averaged 17 points last month.  Shooting 44%/38%/85% for the season...

He's doing it on a playoff team.  Who woulda thunk.  He's 28 years old.  Do you think he's finally a relevant NBA player or is this a fluke season?

Also... how about those Suns?   They've been the biggest surprise of the season for me.

Pretty much just shows he came into the league too young.

He sucked for his whole career and suddenly he appears very good.  I'd say he stepped into the perfect team, system, and coach.  It's nice to see him doing well.  I still think he would be a benchwarmer on several of the top teams.

Yeah, ever since Bledsoe went down, he hasn't gone crazy with his starting role. He's playing within himself. He still takes bad shots sometimes and the defense leaves a lot to be desired...but Phoenix can count on him down the stretch.

Hornacek and McDonough have done a great job with this team.

Bledsoe is due back next week.  Will Green have a bench role?

Suns also have some picks this summer...

Their own, Indiana's and Washington.

They also will have Minnesota's the Wolves aren't in the bottom 13.

That team is poised to make a big move.

Been keeping tabs on GG's progress and this makes me pretty happy. Always thought he could make it happen. I think he still has room to get better but he's arrived as a solid player already.

I been yelling watch out for Gerald Green & driving the badwagon for years. I kept tabs in Russia,China & then D-League. I wanted desperately for Danny to trust his initial draft instinct & sign him back years ago bit pffttt he didn't! And I'm pretty disappointed he is not a Celtic. But good part about it is I get a first hand look every night with him playing in my hometown of Phoenix. And to all the naysayers who told me he would never be anything & he's garbage, all I can say is I told you so! (He's pretty dang good)

I'm happy for this guy :) Seems like a nice dude and he still talks good about Boston and being a celtic. He understand that he was out of the league for a reason, he admitted that it was fair.

But he learned from mistakes, became a true professional and now it all shows off :) Hope he can play some good games down the stretch

He is 28 years old and 11 years into his pro career.   Too little too late but he has vastly improved.   Too bad at his age he has nowhere to go but down.

NBA players almost always start to show improvement before age 28.  This is a very unique case.  His freakish athleticism kept teams taking chances on him for 10 years.  His physical tools bought him more time than other players.  Most players don't get 10 years of training before there is a payoff.  He got way more training than a player generally gets, and it finally has paid off.

He is certainly making the most of the situation he has been put into that's for sure. I agree that for most other playoff teams he wouldn't be sniffing the floor. He's been able to find something in Phoenix though. I'm happy for him to finally be able to find some success somewhere in this league.

(Now let's not just start trade for Gerald Green threads to win a championship or anything like that. He is playing well in Phoenix but won't be a savior for any teams.)

Well that is an encouraging thought. When I was 28 a loooooooong time ago. I thought I was just starting and there was nowhere to go but up.
