Day 2:
What a cool night. Got to the Gahden a little late thanks to good ol' Boston traffic. That was kind of a bummer because Sully came out at 5:45 (when we were scheduled to have our pic taken at center court) and we missed him. I guess he felt bad he missed us and went back to the locker room, grabbed one of his St Paddy's jerseys, and signed it up for us. He definitely didn't have to do that, so that was cool. I guess they only sold Rondo's to the public, so it's pretty unique. I can't wait to get it framed up...
When we finally got there we went right down to center court to have our pic taken with Max and Satch Sanders. Then we just chilled around on the court and watched shoot around and such. We also got a little behind the scenes walk-through. It was really cool seeing all the different groups in the tunnels (dancers, dunk guys, etc.) and all the production that goes in to the game.
After a little photo taking and relaxing down by the court we went up to the Banners restaurant on the 6th floor for dinner with Satch Sanders. This was probably the highlight of the entire experience for me. Satch is a funny funny guy. We had a great meal and I'm pretty sure tears were rolling down a few of our faces from laughing so hard. What a cool dude...
We were having such a good time at dinner, we didn't make our way down to our seats until the end of the first quarter. Those black courtside seats are as comfortable as they look and you get a waitress! Not sure I would pay the $575 face value myself, but it was still amazing being that close.
Around the start of the third quarter our host came and grabbed us and brought us back to the locker room. We got to check that out for a bit and had some more professional photos taken and such. All the photos should be emailed to me sometime this week...
I have to send a big thank you to the C's and Sprint! Our "hosts" were absolutely awesome and definitely made us feel like VIP's for a couple night! All in all it was an amazing experience and hopefully you guys enjoyed reading about it.
