Big guard. Pogo stick body. Can't shoot. Will be a tough fit with Rondo.

Agreed. Rondo needs a lights out shooter at the 2, to make up for his deficiency.  Would like to see us snatch up a really good shooting guard, like Gary Harris.
I feel a shooter is easier to acquire than a skilled big. I'd rather take Vonleh.

I haven't watched a lot of Vonleh yet, I need to nail down some time.  I believe he is a year younger than everyone too right?

Ainge has never seemed to concerned with shooting.  Perhaps watching this season's crew will cure him of that.

Vonleh is about 6 months younger than Wiggins and Parker, and one month younger than Exum.  Embiid is a year plus older than the other top picks mentioned here, except for Randle, who he's 6 months older than.

Poorly worded, but while Vonleh is very young for a freshman, he's not exceptionally young compared to most of the other top draftees.

He's probably trying to get a team in front of him to take him so Parker or Randle falls to us.

Randle will definitely be available around 5 or 6.

Nothing is definite in this draft.  It is very possible Randle could go top 4.

Don't know much about Exum.

Is he a good shooter?

NBA player comparison?

Also is he a point or shooting guard?

Thanks.

I've seen a few Penny Hardaway comparisons.

I'd say the top-4 is almost a definite. More-so than previous drafts. Just don't know what order Embiid, Wiggins, Parker, Exum will go. But I think they're almost a lock to be the top-4 players picked barring any major injuries.

For anyone who hasn't seen him play, I started this thread yesterday and posted the most recent video that I found of him.

http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=69896.0

My thoughts on his play (in summation): he is more of a point guard than an off guard, incredible first step, great court vision, good passer, good handling, solid shooting form (not a lightning quick release though)

The strange thing is, for two guys who are supposed to be great for their shooting, both Harris and Young have been pretty mediocre to terrible shooters this year.  Which is frustrating, because I like them both, and they both look like they SHOULD be great shooters.

I see a lot of Shaun Livingston (pre-injury) in his game. Same explosive moves and ability to get to any point on the floor, whether its a fast break or set play. Not as prolific of a passer, but more polished outside game.

He will be a top 5-6 pick in this draft. The ceiling on his game is too high to pass up. If he puts in the work and adds more muscle, he has star potential.....maybe not a top 10-20 player, but very close.

If the C's are sitting at that 4-6 spot, and Rondo has not made a 100% commitment, I would  try to get a top 10 pick for him, or a 2015 1st from a bottom feeder team. Then we roll with one more season of full-rebuild/development, to net another 2015 future top 10 pick of our own plus another teams.

Don't forget there is still March Madness where someone will surely catapult into the top 5. Every year it always seems like the top 5 is a lock until March Madness. Randle could win the Tourney while being MVP and I would not be surprised to see him go top 2.
