I'm just curious.....what kind of a coach says to his best player up for free agency in a year "Hey. I know your whole family is here and it's your birthday and you want to be with them and you're not even supposed to play the Kings tomorrow.....but man it is just really really really important that you be there to watch a completely meaningless game"?
Who does or says that?
I also don't follow this line of thinking that Rondo has butted heads with every coach he ever had. I mean how come nobody ever says coaches have butted heads everywhere they've gone? You mean they kept all their players happy all the time?
I bet if you asked Doc or Brad.....hey. We could trade Rondo for ...idk...Mike Conley or Tony Parker straight up they'd yell "Noooooooooo! Are you out of your mind?!"
40 pgs are better? Shoulda gone with 15. Then we might have actually thought a real live scout said that.
your wrong imo. He is the captain.
What's next, Jeff Green can miss a game when his birthday comes? Then Pressey?
Even though Pressey is not at the level Rondo is, if you as a coach tell him no you can't, then what? It's like a

Stevens is a fair guy. Rookie coach or not, he knows what kind of system and rules he wants in place so that the ship can navigate properly.
