Good for him, and I'm glad the Nets are giving him a shot. :)

I still remember the day he signed here unexpectedly...and upon reviewing his past play, we anticipated getting a Dwight-stopper.

Best of luck to him, and this is awesome that he came out and is currently playing in the NBA!

He's already in midseason form.  Zero points and 5 fouls.

Yep.  People so underestimate the value of a good screen.

I wish they tracked screens set, and the quality thereof, on the stat sheet.  I bet if you counted "picks leading to made shots" guys like Collins would get a lot more credit.

Yeah, Collins is hardly an all-star, but he has always seemed to know his role offense and played very tough defense. If more players had those qualities, I think we would see a lot more fundamentally sound basketball.

I agree that Collins is obviously nearing the end of his career and it's not as exciting as if a guy like Durant let the world know he was gay, but it is still really cool. I am looking forward to the days where it literally doesn't matter (I agree with Kelly Dwyer in his assertion of people who say, 'who cares? this is not news...' actually really do care and just don't want to hear about it).

This type of distraction is not needed.  Boo him like you would any other player
