TP, thanks for the video :)
Respect for Stevens who stepped up and defended his own player.. But i'm curious, what did he say to the ref since he got tossed out ???

Ha! Didn't watch the game. Anyone have any context of either toss out?

Seems like the ref thought he was being showed up both time

@tvabby you looked like you might have been sitting close enough to hear what Coach Stevens said to get ejected. Details? #CelticsTalk

 Abby Chin ‏@tvabby
.@joshbNECN All he said was, "You could have thrown Cousins out all quarter!" No expletives. Nothing else.

G. Wallace on what happened when he got ejected. "I think he (ref Marc Davis) was a little frustrated because I was right and he was wrong."

The ref got out of control.......he was making bad calls,  losing control of game BECAUSE the calls were so screwed up .   Cousins could and should have been thrown out of the game for trying to start a fight with Hump........even the homer announcers said it was clear Hump was good and Cousins was the aggressor .

The refs just lost a handle on the game , missing too many calls led to the frustration on both sides .their refusal to toss Cousins , was frustrating the Celtics players  to no end .

Extremely poor control and intentional on part of the refs NOT to eject Cousins blatant fighting going after Hump ......letting that ride till the end of the game .......proves they knew he was guilty and had been told NOT to eject stars from the game.

Refs towing the NBA line of not punishing Star players .....nearly let the game get out of control.....and thus the panic of the ref in closing moment.

NBA should review Cousins actions and fine the ref for letting the game get out of hand .

Gorman said that Stevens just said, "You've been missing calls all night long."

So I don't know if it was a combo of things, but nothing seemed like it should have cost him to get tossed. I mean the ref did miss Cousins shoving Humps in the open court, and yeah maybe he was looking away, but he shouldn't have been until they were separated. Thats just bad reffing.

I do like that Stevens is seeming to get more comfortable with speaking his mind and defending his players.

You're essentially saying Memphis with Rondo makes them championship caliber?  I doubt it.

Not sure how this post of mine got in this thread...sorry.

That's a pretty far-out interpretation

Could someone PLEASE provide me a video link showing the double technical called in the first half on Cousins and Hump, when Cousins came up to Hump on the FT line and confronted and bumped him while Hump simple stood where he was supposed to on the FT line????

PLEASE?????

Thanks so much,
