Ken Berger@KBergCBSClippers have also sent Byron Mullens to the Sixers, further trimming their tax bill, league source confirms

Wonder if the Sixers picked up another 2nd round pick in this deal? They may have won the trade deadline.

Yeah, I think so too. Easy to do when you have gobs and gobs of cap space.

Deserves its own thread, but Woj says the Sixers landed Granger too.

Correcting their offseason mistakes. I like it. LAC dumping BJ Mullens and A.Jamison.

Neither player is NBA material.

a bit harsh on Mullens who in the right situation could be a decent stretch 4/5 off the bench.  Going to LA was a bad move in his development as they just had too much depth to get him any real action.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

This is kind of a standard move.  Hire veterans on minimum contracts hoping they have some sort of renaissance of the bench (and Jamison did put up useful numbers last year with the Lakers) and if they don't pan out, then dump them to clear space for potential buyout candidates.

What teams need to learn is that you can grab useful players from the D-League, but perhaps a coach like Doc Rivers is the wrong guy for relying on unproven players.
