Apparently DA could not dump Bass for a bag of chips and an expiring.  I'm sure he would have taken it.

Plenty of moves happened.

Ainge traded Fab Melo for cap relief.

Traded Courtney Lee for an expiring contract.

Traded Jordan Crawford and Marshaun Brooks for a pick(s).

Despite the complaints of some people, Ainge has likely been the busiest GM in the NBA recently.
It'll be interesting to see what crawford/brooks deal ends up to be.  Already a great deal for celtics as brooks is soon to be out of the nba and crawford is trying to be dumped.  What will the draft picks turn out to be??
I like Lee but understand the deal, still think trading bradley might have made more sense.

Highly doubt Ainge was able to find good value for anybody. Why are people angry we didn't make a trade?
No idea. I guess the overlying consensus was that we just had to trade Sullinger for two second-round picks.
try bass for 2 seconds. Its about tanking this year and teams like the lakers and sixers know whatsup. Well now probably remain 6th worst and have minimal chance at a top 3 pick. And yes yes i realize its a lottery but if you are tanking you have to maximize your odds by shedding useless players not with it for the long haul. Bass green etc fit the bill. I guess im the only one who doesnt want endure a crap year only to end up with vonleh or gordon where we already have players of equal or better talent.

Correct.

Either we want to dump all of our players, or we want to get the 8th overall pick.

Seems logical that there would only be two options.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Yeah, that's simply not how the NBA works.

so your telling me the lakers didnt actively try and trade all their players except kobe to assure a top 3 pick? Thats exactly what they did and it will pay off for them .

I'm not sure he would have.

According to reports, Lakers whiffed on trading Hill and Kaman precisely because they asked for draft picks on top of financial relief.

Good! I am glad nothing happened. I am a little surprised that we did not trade Kieth Bogans and a 2nd rounder to Philly for a Bag of SWA peanuts just for the sake of shedding salary but maybe Philly declined the deal because they need a bag of SWA peanuts to entice their fans to show up.

Same issue as with the Gasol for Bynum framework they tried to put together.  They wanted to Ainge em but Ainge already Ainged Brooklyn so hard that everybody's balking now.

The Lakers moved Steve Blake, because Kendall Marshall and the return of Jordan Farmar made him expendable. What they tried is anyone's guess, since they didn't make any other trades.

Haven't heard any news yet......but seems like LA is keeping Pau Gasol.   Too?

Trading a pick to dump Bogans would be incredibly stupid, since he is unguaranteed after this season.
