Would only do it if we somehow also got Carmelo and drafted Caulie stein. Aside from that no.

Love and rondo would not win a championship alone.

If somehow Danny could pull off

A starting 5 next year of

Rondo
Green/ a SG
Melo
Love
Chandler

Then go all in, if anything short of that no keep the team as is, trDe bass and try trading Wallace somehow and rebuild.

The above lineup could win a title. Aside from that we are essentially the TWolves. I'll pass.

The more I think about it, the Wolves have fielded themselves a pretty nice team. I don't have their roster in front of me right now, but they do have Rubio, Love and Pekovic. If Rubio improves his scoring and they pick up a nice wing player in the offseason (Granger maybe?), they'll have a really solid team.

I doubt Love would leave the Wolves if that happens.

I don't think the Wolves are as strong as you do.  If Rubio weren't busy regressing offensively I would be more inclined to agree with you.  I think Pekovic is OK and Martin is pretty good but very injury prone.  I don't see this as a great core unless Rubio becomes a borderline allstar which looks more and more unlikely as time goes on.

I don't know why we aren't strongly going after him.  I can only imagine what Love can do under Brad Stevens system

He could do a bit less than he's doing now and I'd still be thrilled.

Anyone who thinks DA won't make a play for some Love n .....is just crazy.

He is huge box office draw .....money making young star , hungry for titles.

Money spent ....will be money returned TWO fold and they know it. ...Wye

DA keeps Rondo I think , unless some deal he can't refuse for him draft night.....as a way to sign KLove  to contract

DA uses his money, picks , young players to get Love

Adding a good center would be easier once Love and Rondo on same team.......can sign a decent man to come play in Boston., using Wallace's money .....who is nothing but a place holder for now.

This will be     ...

The Summer of Love       ;D

Acquiring Kevin Love would be awesome but we would need more pieces.

However, all of a sudden Boston goes from a city no player even thinks about playing in to looking alot more attractive if you can play with Rondo and Love.

Imagine if we could somehow get Pekovic too.

That would be AWESOME!

Something like Sullinger, Green, Bradley, Bass and our 2014 1st round picks for Love and Peckovic.

not a bad idea to expand the trade since Pekovic fills our need at Center but the problem now is we have no starting SG (not that I think AB is a quality starter) and Wallace as our starting SF (  :-X ).  Love would have to sign an extension to make it worthwhile but that contract, along with Rondo's (and sadly Wallace's) would put a real crimp in signing any quality FAs in those positions.

If we could also manage to deal Green for Asik, and Asik is still Asik (I'm increasingly worried that he is not), I could get excited about that. Rondo-Love-Asik is a neat core and I think you could go shopping for a pair of wings that would turn that into a contender.

There is no shot the TWolves would take Wallace's horrible contract. Can't see that under any circumstances.

Im all for it but it will cost a KG like deal... Sully, KO, Green and 2nd pick this year and unprotected next year..

Still have plenty of picks to make another large move to get a nice SG

I guess i'm higher on Rubio than you. I admit i don't get to watch T'wolves games, but him being on my fantasy team means i've watched his box score performance every game this season and i've followed news and reports on him as well.

The lack of points is infuriating, and so are the subpar fg% games, but his main contributions lie elsewhere anyway (sounds similar to Rondo, eh?). Not to say that he doesn't have some good scoring games. He can score, particularly when Love is out of the lineup (the last 2 games that happened, he scored 25 and 19). So maybe it's just a case of him deferring too much (sounds like Rondo again?) to his teammates as opposed to looking for his. After all, he only averages 8 attempts a game. I'm confident that in due time, he'll be able to pick his spots better.

besides, he's only 23 and on his 3rd year.

and Pekovic is just "OK"? hmm, he averages 18-9, or 20-10 per 36. i would think he's more than just ok. I do think the Wolves need an upgrade on the wing, in addition to the continued improvement of both Rubio and Love.

I see the Rondo similarity, but a guy like Kendall Marshall of the Lakers has much better numbers across the board than Rubio.  And Marshall was a d leaguer earlier this year.
