they hope players who haven't been traded by game time don't get hurt in the game.

Could you imagine you have the principles in place for a trade before gametime, and then, player X gets hurt and it completely ruins what was agreed upon...and I'm not talking a simple ankle sprain or knee bruise, but major like and ACL or Achilles....OUCH!

I can imagine that when a deal has been agreed upon in principle, players are held out of games. Oh wait, I don't need to *imagine* this, it actually happens all the time.

Players that are set to be traded are usually excused from that game....

If I recall correctly, here has even been a handful of cases where players have been pulled out mid-game because the team has agreed to trade them. Or was that another league.

Keep an eye out for any players suspiciously sitting out games tonight.  "Flu-like symptoms" or "aches and pains" should raise red flags.

I came in this thread expecting to see a submerged-under-water-the-longest contest.

I'm not leaving until I see one. My money's on Ujiri.

Danny Ainge was a 3 sport athlete who's never smoked or drank (at least in theory).  I got him for endurance, or else RC Buford figuring out a way to breathe underwater  ;)

The whole myocardial infarct thing a couple years ago probably isn't helping his case.

yeah...but really guys - using Loul Deng

Rumors are that Deng is 'available'. Do you keep him out of tonight's game because he's 'available'? NO you play him....but what if he plays tonight and then gets hurt?? which is why I am saying the GMs must be holding their breath's tonight....

almost like saying to 1/2 the league...we can't play you because we think you are 'available' on the trade market (of course you wouldn't SAY that...but what do really do?)

Oh, we know what you're talking about.

Dark Horse underwater candidate - Bryan Colangelo - Well practiced at holding his breath from waiting for the Andrea Bargnani pick to pay off.
