I liked my friend's idea for fixing the dunk contest.  It builds off the changes they made this year.

#1 - Keep the East/West divide.  4 players from each conference.

#2 - Much like this year, have each conference have their 2-3 minute "freestyle" round where they all do whatever they want together.  This acts as "warm ups".

#3 - Following the "freestyle round", you take a commercial break and let the judges convene.  They jointly will decide the "seeding"/"matchups" for our dunk tourney.  The defending champ should get the top seed.

Maybe they rank the East 1st John Wall, 2nd Terrence Ross, 3rd Paul George, 4th Chris Anderson

Maybe they rank the West, 1st Ben McLemore, 2nd Harrison Barnes, 3rd Damian Lillard, 4th Austin Rivers

#4 - You can keep the battle rounds, because I liked that... but do it as a 3-round championship bracket.

Round 1 East:   Wall vs Anderson.   Ross vs George.
Round 1 West:   Mclemore vs Rivers.   Barnes vs Lillard.

Round 2 East:  Winner (ex: Wall) vs Winner (ex. Ross)
Round 2 West:  Winner (ex. McLemore) vs Winner (ex. Barnes)

Finals:  East Winner (ex: Wall) vs West Winner (ex: McLemore)

Of course, if they really wanted to fix it they'd offer big money towards charity and force actually all-stars to participate.

I like it.

The only problem with the Dunk Contest this year as I saw it was not having the three finalists go up against each other.

Monumentally stupid.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.
