Teams who might logically have interest AND do have the right kind of assets to get it done:

1) Charlotte
2) Toronto
3) Utah
4) Bucks

I'd also add Orlando as borderline. I suspect the Lakers (like the Knicks) would love to have Rondo but their pick / young player assets picture is ugly.

Utah and Milwaukee?  Huh?

Those teams are farther away from competing next year than we are.

Why would that prohibit them from wanting Rondo?

It certainly wouldn't prohibit them but it may give them pause to consider whether or not they could get Rondo to extend with them.

Of course. I'd still keep them on the list. Are any of these places a given to keep him (including Orlando)?

On the flip side, this is arguably the biggest factor Ainge has to consider in concluding when to deal Rondo, if he decides he wants to.

I know Larbrd33 mentioned this and I think he's right.

Charlotte is a very good trade partner for Rondo.

They are one of those teams that could use a fringe star to help lead them into the playoffs as they are currently the 8th seed.

They have a good mix of expiring contracts (Gordon, Sessions) young atheltic players (MKG and Biyombo) and they have a 2014 draft pick which is top 8 protected from Detroit, top 1 protected in 2015 and unprotected in 2016.

Something like this could work

Celts get: MKG, Biyombo, Ben Gordon, Ramon Sessions and the 2014 Detroit 1st rounder

Charlotte gets: Rondo, Wallace and Jeff Green.
