He's too slow to play the 2 and doesn't play defense. Not sure his game will translate well into the NBA

Too weak and too slow. Him trying to guard Wiggins or Exum or some other quick two would be bad. I am not a fan of this guy.

But then people want gordan Hayward? Not much faster. At the shooting gaurd position all I want is a shooter. That's what he is, with rondo, he'll be just fine. Get a defensive center n we'll be okay, kids tall for a SG so he'd be just fine.

Regardless I believe McDermott would dominate the league at the shooting gaurd position on offense. Yes he might be terrible defensively but look at Klau Thompson?
Klay is not that fast, McDermott is longer, McDermott has more offensive skill. Everyone wants Klay Thompson but I see McDermott with a higher ceiling.
He will fall to The nets hawks pick, because of his defensive worried and athleticism.

Sometimes shooters who can't get their own shot struggle in the NBA.  McBuckets is a scorer.  Did you see that Dirk one legged jumper he pulled off?  He is going to be able to get that shot off on most 2s and 3s.  If we trade Green, why couldn't he be our scoring 3?

That all may end up being correct, but as others have said already, he is not a NBA guard.

He's a terrific shooter.  Potential problem I see is he just becomes a tall Jimmer Fredette. He'll have the length to shoot over other forwards/guards but his defense is pretty poor.

On the upside he could be an SF version of Steph Curry or a Steve Novak with a dribble and shoot game

Steph Curry is an All Star and he doesn't play defense I guess.
If we are going to take a flyer on an SF I'd rather trade the 15-18 pick to a team that gets  Chris Johnson for us in the second round, with extra assets coming back.

Everyone saying he's not a two, is Kyle Korver not a 2? Klay Thompson not a two? Gordan Hayward never play the two ? Just because he's tall and not that fast doesn't mean he isn't a two, I guess olynk isn't a 4 he's too tall and slow to play a position other then the 5.

Stop being so one minded, the kid could play the two in the nba. Yes he has the body of a 3 and can play the 3 as we'll.

If he's the BPA, I'd take him and he may well be at our second pick.
That being said, I'm not getting rid of Bradley for him (and I would get rid of Bradley, if I had a better option). He looks like a strong scoring option off the bench, like Korver, not a starting SG.
