Knicks want Faried?

The Knicks, I'm told, are trying to re-engage Denver in what has become a season-long crusade to convince the Nuggets to consent to a trade that essentially swaps Iman Shumpert for Kenneth Faried.

One source close to the situation said the most likely trade scenario -- if it ever progresses to a serious stage -- would package Shumpert and Beno Udrih to Denver for Faried and Jordan Hamilton. But that's the issue; New York simply hasn't been able to get Denver to seriously consider the idea.

This one takes the cake, imo. Knicks really over value their players. Or maybe they have no choice?

I wonder how high Faried's trade value is.

I think he is a rather difficult player to slot into a strong team because of how limited Faried's offensive game + the lack of high end defensive work to make up for it. I think pretty much everyone will like Faried but I wonder how many (or how few) would truly give up a big ransom to get him.

I mean Faried is more of a complementary piece than someone you build around. Teams don't normally give up much for non-centers who are complementary pieces. 

Can Denver really expect to get a star talent, top prospect or high draft pick in return for Faried?

Even if its a fair trade denver really doesnt have any incentive to make that trade.

Shumpert isnt really a great asset so wouldnt it be making a move juat to make a move?

I dont think Denver is necessarily holdimg out for some great deal but they arent just goimg to make a trade just to make a trade.

the reason I stay a sports fan is I get to wake up every morning and say "at least i'm not a knicks fan".

  I think the time to trade Faried for a big bounty have passed. He's less of an "upside guy" now.

Faried is better than Evans, he's a pretty efficient garbage man unlike Reggie.

Evans is a divisive figure for a lot of fans and analysts. A lot of people think he's a star based on his box score numbers. Others think he's closer to Reggie Evans and he's a fan favorite in Denver to boot.

Makes it tough to move him, I wonder what their asking price is.

If the Knicks want Faried why didn't they just pick him?  Instead they drafted....Iman Shumpert.
