What a doofus.

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/02/12/reason-for-andrew-bynum-getting-kicked-out-of-practice-and-suspended-by-cavs-revealed-and-its-hilarious/

"Only Bynum never made it to the early January guarantee date for his full $12.5 million salary in 2013-14, and self-destructed. He stopped trying on the floor, and became a disruptive presence in practices. Before Bynum was thrown out of his final practice and suspended, he was shooting the ball every time he touched it in a practice scrimmage, sources said – from whatever remote part of the court he had caught the ball."

Well, if true, that's certainly better than one of the other rumors floating around the internet about why he was let go.

What an idiot.

I guess anything can turn into a job, but basketball is just so fun I have a really hard time picturing someone not wanting to play.

Also, if anyone wants a prime reason why Woj's writing can be unintentional comic gold, that's a great example.

Can you picture someone not wanting to play.... for Cleveland?  He knew his contract had an out so he became a jerk so they would cut him.  Now he's on arguably the best team in the league.  I am not supporting what he did by any means. But I think that explains it.

Speaking of unintentional comedy, here is the prognosis on when Bynum will be ready to play, from ESPN's fantasy "spin" section:

Quote
Moreover, Vogel prefers that Bynum have a strong grasp of Indiana's offensive system, before taking the court, meaning the process could be a lengthy one.

This guy got paid millions to do nothing for a year in Philly, to be a moron in Cleveland, and is now on a contending team still grabbing the paychecks... all for being 7 ft tall and having one good year on the Lakers. It really is pathetic and a real shame he has a job

Assuming this story is true, Bynum was still much better at basketball than Mark Blount.

Can you be retarded (sub 70 IQ) and play pro ball? Did that guy literally cost himself $6M just being a jerk? Serious question. Could he just so completely lack capacity?
