the difference I see is confidence really. hard to have good stats when you are reluctant to shoot the ball when open. prior to the last few games he looked like he was playing hot potato when he got the ball, looking to see who he could pass it to

the past two games when he has an open shot he TAKES IT.

His biggest obstacle to get real good is to comeback next year with a pro body

Right.

Strong, bigger upper body is what KO needs to develop.

i'd like to see him more agressieve too.
Now he sometimes, looks shy when he has the ball in a 50-50 situation. He isn't angry when the other one takes the ball from him.
I saw that against the spurs a couple of times and against the bucks as well and pretty much each game.
Same on defense, he seems to lack the desire to stop someone.

Have to start playing him 30 or more minutes a game to see what he his made of. I hope he surprises me and turns into more than an 8th guy off the bench. Sorry hump, sorry Brandon, but this team has to see if it really wants to invest the time and the money down the road on this guy. Plus, it really helps with the tank!

Hes's playing better. But can him and Sully coexist?  I can't see it.

Right now there are four rookies with a better shooting percentage than KO, six with a higher adjusted FG%, no rookie non-guards with as high an assist percentage or rate, four rookies(including Vitor) with a higher rebounding rate, three rookies with more double-doubles, 10 with a higher blocking rate, and last night he just fell out of the top dozen for 3PT%--as a 7-footer.

On the C's, Humphries, Wallace, Vitor, Rondo and Anthony have a better defensive rating.

I think there are posters here who will call him a bust if he's not the top in his rookie class and the C's best defender within the next 30 days.

he's getting better in the sense he's producing more consistently and showing less hesitation as the season progresses.  not much more you can ask of a rookie taken in the middle of the first round of a low-quality draft.

offseason, he needs to add some muscle -- upper and lower body -- and work on learning the defensive schemes better. (then again, our entire team needs to learn the defensive schemes better).

Pressey, Johnson, and KO need to play big minutes. Bass and Wallace need to be traded or rot on the bench. If this is a rebuild, Stevens needs to develop players and show Ainge and the rest of the league, what these players have in terms of basketball skills.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

He saw something in KO lots of gms didnt. Again he wont be a star defender but could hold his own with a better body. Offensively he will keep getting better. Wicked passer for his height. Def at the level of marc gasol and KL
Olynyk is not near the passing level of Marc Gasol and KLove yet.  Kevin Love's passing ability is more praised for his outlet passing than his half court offense passing.  Love is probably the best outlet passer I've seen in the NBA in the past 20 years (how long I've followed).  I see potential in Olynyk to be the type of passer Gasol is, but he's not on that level yet.

I was pumped about the double-double last night though!  (even if his last rebound came in garbage time and I think was tipped to him)

Pressey has shown us what he has, and the answer is not much.

He's a good passer and can penetrate. But he can't shoot from anywhere on the court and can't defend or rebound the PG position.

I think one of Humphries or Bass will be gone at the trade deadline (or in Humphries case after a buyout) and then there will be more playing time for KO and Sully.

KO gets us some easy bucket with his cuts and his passing, he's not going to shoot lights out every game but if he can produce a couple easy buckets a game he will be a valuable player for a team that struggles to score like the C's.

Pressey has improved his shooting if you actually care. He is a pg, how many rebounds is he suppose to get?

Cant defend? You need to rewatch some games

I do watch games, not all of them but quite a lot. More of them now that Rondo has returned.

Pressey has active hands and tries hard (so he gets nice steals). But he's too small and not strong enough to effectively defend NBA players. Even small guards shoot right over him and he gets bodied very easily on drives and cuts.

Rebounds matter no matter what the position, you just have different expectations. Even for a PG a TRB of 4.3 doesn't cut it.

He's shot under 30% every month but February. In February he's shot 40%, barely adequate. Even that is propped up by a single game of adequate shooting (50% against Milwaukee)

Overall he's at 43% at the rim (awful) and 26% on jump shots (awful)
