PG: Lebron James
SG: Lebron James
SF: Lebron James
PF: Lebron James
C:  Lebron James

Danny would need to trade Jeff Green for a cloning machine first.

Oh wait, we need to be realistic? That's no fun. How about this then?

Rondo
Hayward
Wiggins or Parker
Sullinger
Asik

I think that's within reason and a well-balanced team.

I don't mean this as a criticism, but I hope that we can do better.

I don't mean this as criticism, but in my opinion if you are expecting a team better than the one BleedGreen put forth, I think you are going to be highly disappointed.

That's a pretty good team and, while taking some liberties like giving us a pick high enough for Wiggins and Parker and assuming that Utah isn't going to match on Hayward or is willing to trade him cheaply, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Agreed. You'd need to offer Utah something via sign and trade (and probably over-pay Hayward in the process), and Green would be a part of any Asik deal, but I'd LOVE that team.

My ideal starting lineup next season:

Rondo
Hayward
Rodney Hood/J Grant/D Saric
Sullinger
Joel Embiid

Again, I'm not hating on it. I think I'm a little down on Hayward and Wiggins, and maybe concerned about Asik.

What about the grandfather-offer-for-a-superstar tack, also trying to keep it realistic

Rondo
Bradley (resigned at about about $6M?)
Green
Love (goodbye to Sullinger and two first rounders)
Pau Gasol (signed at about $12M?)

PG-Rondo

SG-Marcus Smart (who I actually want to see get drafted. I like that kid and like his fire. I know he's a point but they can start him at the 2 and can also back up Rondo.)
I know everyone wants to see either Parker, Embiid or Wiggins, but I just don't think the Celts will get that high of a pick.

SF-Luol Deng or Trevor Ariza (like both guys, great scorers and more consistent than Jeff Green. Both guys will be free agents this summer. Maybe work out a sign and trade deal this summer for either player involving Jeff Green and filler)

PF-Josh Smith (deal Wallace, Avery Bradley and our 2014 Brooklyn pick or 2015 Clippers pick on draft night to get Smoove.)

C-Marcin Gortat (if we can nab him with whatever cap space we have this summer, that would be awesome!)

Sullinger as your 6th man.
deng was real good at a time but he was and is not a great scorer. ariza is a defensive guy not a scorer. not sure why you thought so ? that lineup is unbalanced and honestly is a first round exit if we make it there. idk enough about smart but i dont like him at the 2 over other players. gortat/smith big man lineup would be frustrating to watch. at this point i think sully is better than gortat and has the potential to be just as good if not better than smith. the main problem is who is the go to guy on this team? ariza/deng are not that guy

I don't think this would be anyone's dream -- more likely a nightmare

The Garnett trade was a mistake?

That would be nice. I just think KLove is a pipe dream.
