Danny would need to trade Jeff Green for a cloning machine first.

Oh wait, we need to be realistic? That's no fun. How about this then?

Rondo
Hayward
Wiggins or Parker
Sullinger
Asik

I think that's within reason and a well-balanced team.

I don't mean this as a criticism, but I hope that we can do better.

I don't mean this as criticism, but in my opinion if you are expecting a team better than the one BleedGreen put forth, I think you are going to be highly disappointed.

That's a pretty good team and, while taking some liberties like giving us a pick high enough for Wiggins and Parker and assuming that Utah isn't going to match on Hayward or is willing to trade him cheaply, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

mmm, this is a little out there but:

PG: Exum
SG: Wiggins - i think he's quick enough to play SG, plus he might not yet be strong enough to play SF in his rookie year
SF: Granger maybe? - if he can be signed for a reasonable contract. I don't think Hayward or Stephenson will be available at reasonable prices.
PF: Sullinger
C:  Asik - i can't think of any other 5 that might be available

I'm seeing Lance Stephenson sneak in to some of your dream teams. How much do envision paying him?

realistic, based on a good pick this year but not top 3:

Rondo,
Exum
Green
Sully
Asik

Bench: KO, Hump (resigned on better deal), Fav, C. Iverson, Johnson, Pressey, Selden (2nd 1st rounder), Wallace (not by choice)
(assumption of moving Bass and AB for Asik and future 1st and being bad enough to get the 4th pick this year).

We could do better but this would be an improvement and definitely feasible.
that would be a playoff team in the East next year.  not my ideal team but pretty decent.

Agreed. You'd need to offer Utah something via sign and trade (and probably over-pay Hayward in the process), and Green would be a part of any Asik deal, but I'd LOVE that team.

My ideal starting lineup next season:

Rondo
Hayward
Rodney Hood/J Grant/D Saric
Sullinger
Joel Embiid

I had the same dream lineup. Did we just become best friends??

But ya, keep Rondo and Sully, sign GH, trade for asik (my super dream would be gasol or Noah but we'll be realistic) then draft Parker or Wiggins.

Who's our sixth man/bench aside Johnson and KO? Need a shooting guard at least
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
