I can't really fault Doc for trying to motivate his player because it is apparently working. Jordan has been very good this season (just looking at raw numbers, I have hardly watched any games this year). I don't agree with the comparison though.
He's rebounded a little better, but overall he's been pretty much the same player. Note that he's playing a ton more minutes this season (36 compared to last season's 24).
