DeAndre Jordan is having a great season. 14 rebounds a game and 2.5 blocks a night is huge. Don't see many players putting up numbers like that.

His commitment on the boards has improved tremendously and his defense has taken another step forward. Still more to do but trending in a very positive direction. Clippers should be very happy to have him. I'd love to have him on the Celtics.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
I can see it, both guys have grabbed rebounds in the NBA.

To be honest it's not really a fair comparison for DeAndre - he's got hundreds more blocked shots than Russell ever did.  People should look up basic stats before getting all huffy.

Haha you're right, TP!

Can't really fault Doc for trying.

He's an outstanding coach and motivator.

And DeAndre is having a great season so far, even if he has room to improve still.

I'll never forget that Game 4 2008 Finals....Doc Rivers willed this Celtics team to victory. Listen to his comments:

Look at Boston's body language.....that game was Doc's.

I'd be careful with The Russell comments, but remember Doc is a great motivator and coach.

Good points.

Boy that video makes me remember how sweet '08 was. I don't know if any year in basketball will ever be more enjoyable to me than that year.

Is this a balding joke?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Thanks for that video, man.  Brings back memories.  I would give anything to go back to 2010 to have this type of moment like we did in 2008

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
