I wonder who's next in line to try and pound square pegs into round holes.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Deservedly so. Next up, trade Monroe for something useful or fire Joe Dumars.

Dumars should not be allowed to fire anyone. The Wallace trade seems more and more to be a 'broken clock is correct twice a day' move that has allowed him to make NBA fans forget how inept Isiah Thomas was in NY.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Someone has to take the blame for the disappointing season this talented team is experiencing.

And I think they blamed the right person.

Still don't know how Joe Dumars is still there...drafting Darko over Melo would be good enough reason to fire him!!

Wow kind of surprise that he be fired in middle of the season..

My only surprise is that it came on the heels of an inspiring victory.  Quite a few Piston's were lighting it up last night.

Surprised they hired him in the first place.

Dumars has been sooo awful recently. Committing $24mill to Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith for the next 3 years.

Dumars has now fired 8 coaches since the year 2000.

why does mo cheeks keep getting hired? every team he goes to seems to under perform.

as far as joe D goes, he got them championships so it'd take a lot for him to go imo. but yeah darko over melo? I don't even like melo but even I wouldn't have done that.

Unless he pulls off a miracle, Dumars is next.

I'd fire him too, but interesting timing with winning 2 in a row and the last one a destruction of Denver.

Never should have been hired in the first place.
