Dream scenario....who would you want to pair with Rondo?

I've seen a lot of people on here say that they think rondo would play great with Josh Smith, and they should be paired up. I don't see it that way though. Seems to me that neither can shoot all that great (though rondo has improved) and it would clog up the middle.

He seems to play best when given space, and passing to knock down jump shooters. (Ray,PP,KG).  That being said...and with out just naming unattainable all-stars (Durant, etc), if we build around Rondo, who would be ideal players to play along side Rajon?

Oh yeah... my bad.  I second this.  My real dream scenario is keeping Rondo and drafting one of the studs in the Top 5 of the draft.  But if we're talking about cashing in now, I'd say someone like Melo and Afflalo would be a great fit.

Call me crazy but if I can any player in the NBA right now, all things considered, I'd take Anthony Davis over LeBron. 9 years younger, about $14M cheaper,and can't reach UFA for a long time.

I'd still take Lebron in a heart beat any day of the week. He will get us closer to a ring than Anthony Davis.

But if it's a possibility, I think Melo is a reach but very possible. We got draft picks and Green to trade.

Klay Thompson and Jabari Parker are the ideal wing guys for me with Rondo. Then a big that can rebound and play a little pick & pop (Sully could be that guy), and then a strong defensive center that can at least finish strong at the rim off of pick & rolls and alley-oops (I'm drawing a blank).
