I can't be the only one that believes jeff green should be in the dunk contest. It didn't happen last year and I was alright with that but I thought for sure he would be a could player to throw in that line up for some excitement.. You're gonna tell me Harrison Barnes will put together a better show than JG could of

Green has some good dunks now and then, but my impression is that they generally select players for the dunk contest who are perceived to be exciting by fans.  Whereas Jeff Green's nickname is Uncle Snooze.

This generation is a generation of cowards when it comes to the dunk contest.   The old guys want to see who was top dog these guys are afraid of losing face so it is a contest of nobody's.

I'm not sure I'd call Paul George a nobody, and he just did a windmill in an actual game a few weeks ago.  Doubt I'll watch, because I have better things to do on a Saturday night, but I think he won't be a coward.

Also, the format change sounds interesting.

Barnes can dunk.

Also, since they're doing it by conference this year, the players Green had to beat out were Paul George, John Wall, and Terrence Ross.

I watch the dunk contest in hopes of it returning to the glory days. and there have been some good ones sprinkled in among a plethora of crap.

but the truth is it's never going to be as good as it was. simply because it can't be. we've seen just about everything you can see without it being stupid.

also, green strikes me as a better in game dunker than a contest dunker.

my thoughts exactly.  should have retired this 'event' after Dee Brown's win.  (actually before that would have been better when the top players stopped doing it)

They changed the format...it's now East vs West instead of an individual winner.

East:Paul George, Terrance Ross, and John Wall
West: Barnes, Lillard, Ben Mclemore

Lol!

He's just a power dunker anyways.  No style, no flash, no moves

Very similar players actually. Barnes is one of the players I wouldn't mind Danny targeting in a Green trade. GS has injury problems at PF and C, so I could see them potentially being interested in Green and Hump or Bass.

Barnes and salary wouldn't be a bad return for those guys.
