• Celtics forward Jared Sullinger has put together the best stretch of his young career, averaging 21.3 points and 13.0 rebounds in his last three games. Sullinger had struggled with a hand injury for much of January, and averaged just 11.5 points on 37.2 percent shooting. He credited a chat with his dad for the turnaround. “He said my body language sucked and my attitude sucked,” Sullinger explained. “And he said that’s not what got you here, and he pretty much tried to whoop me back to shape.”

This is why I always like hearing that someone is from a basketball family.

My dad told me the same thing. Also, my grandfather hated it when I put my hands in my pockets.

They were talking about this or something similar during the last game. Apparently he bought Sully dinner and talked about it then. When asked why he picked up the check he said that Jared only listens to him when he pays for the meal.

Then I wonder what Satch Sullinger thinks about Wallace's body language. Talk about a guy who's always moping around.

Love seeing Satch at all the games. Dad, coach and #1 fan. Whenever Jared needs some words of wisdom or a kick in the butt, he'll be there.

I think it got him fired up and I am all for it.   I think the hand mending has helped as well.  Either way he is playing better which won't make tankers happy but it raises his trade value should DA pull the trigger and I can't root for us to loose once the games start.

Whenever i'm hoping for a loss, Sullinger plays too well and ruins it. The guy is much better than i thought he would be. He is a load in the paint.

;D

Maybe Papa Sullinger should adopt Austin Rivers.

Yes, he could be like Rene Russo in Tin Cup. Get a full time job giving fatherly advice to wayward nba stars.

An older article about Satch and the Sullinger family was a good read.  I am happy that Sully is with the C's and I hope he is a keeper for DA.  Easy to root for.

We know zero about the situation so I hate that people will immediately judge someone for something like that.  Obviously doesn't look good but we don't know what happened.

Actually, we know a lot more than zero. It's not like the records are sealed, or anything.

Not an immediate judgement at all - and also nothing that's carried onto the court (aside from the game the Celtics internally suspended him for).
