By his playing he deserves it!
I think this is a good move as he looks like a quality rotation swing man.  I'm sure ainge has at least one deal if not more coming at deadline.  Bogans without a doubt is part of a package.  Also I think if Bradley is moved then ainge is looking for a top notch sg and he has a good backup already on the cheap.  If CJ can keep up what he's shown already he is very much like (without looking at stats!) like bradley on offense and I like his defense as well.

I'm happy for Johnson.  He has worked his tail off and played well.  This is a feel-good signing; kid gets called up from the D-League on a couple of ten day contracts, and gets to be a big leaguer for the rest of the season.

Well earned.

Congrats to CJ!

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Hopefully this means Avery is traded before he walks for 7 million a year elsewhere.

Piggy backing Phosita's speculation, hopefully this means something is already in the works.
Is the full contract deadline the same as the teade deadline or is it earlier?

BBass, Avery for Austin Rivers+ Jason Smith/filler. Go Danny go.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I would put the probability of trading either of them by the deadline at less than 25%.

Avery Bradley aggravated his ankle last night. We need healthy guard bodies, so I don't see this as being a tea leaf to read about the trade deadline.

Wouldn't NOT resigning Johnson be indicative of looming trades (to keep us flexible under the tax line)...

And therefore resigning Johnson be a sign that we're at least not looking to move big money?

Danny Ainge is a basketball Rorschach test where whatever he does confirms that he is planning on doing whatever you think the Celtics should do.

Haha. Don't forget that everything he says means what he says, the exact opposite or something completely different. I'd say he could be a good politician but they *always* lie.
