I'm watching this Cavs/Lakers game.  I think the Lakers started with 8 active healthy players... 2 players got injured.  Two players fouled out...

that's 4 players.

Right now Sacre is fouled out, but he's still in the game, because you can't play 4 on 5.  I guess every foul from here on out, a technical foul is assessed.  Cavs are trying to come back from down 10 with 3 minutes to go.  Bizarre game.

Down 6..

Ryan Kelly fouls.  Bennett to the line with 2 free throws + a technical foul.

This is so weird.

Correction... even the announcers are confused.  Apparently the Foul + Technical only counts if Sacre committs a foul.

I've never seen a player foul out and remain in the game.  Well.. only in Summer League.

The Lakers must be harming their own players on purpose to tank.

Yeah this is basically what happens when two tanks collide.  Anthony Bennett drops 14, 8 and 2, the Lakers try to play 4 players... it's madness.

In not sure what's worse, the fact the Lakers have 4 players, or the fact you said the Cavs were DOWN by 10 lol.

God that team is in a downward spiral.

Lakers should be fined for pulling this stunt.  probably no rule on the books to allow for a fine but Silver should start his reign over the league properly by showing that making a mockery of the game like this is intolerable.

no way this was unavoidable.

Apparently not and many people around the leauge are starting to see that....a anonymous GM said they would rather have Tyler Ennis than Irving

That's really interesting.  I've never seen that rule before.

The Cavs...  they're just sad right now.  It took Luol Deng about a week to tune Mike Brown out; the rest of the team has been there all season.

stick a fork in them. Or more likely their GM.

did the lakers simply not suit up healthy players? did their players injured in this game not have severe injuries but the team kept them out? did they try to have sacre foul every time so the cavs would get extra FTs? if none of these are true, then i don't see how LA "tanked" in this game. if any of the above are true, then yeah, i hope the lottery gods (aka david stern) screw them over. in terms of the cavs...my god, that team is imploding. irving definitely isn't as good as people thought he was, and it doesn't look like he has improved at all (nor has waiters, and i'm not really sure thompson has, either). on paper, esp with deng, that team should have no problem making the playoffs. its either bad coaching, bad management, bad players (that is to say, players not working hard), or, probably, all of the above.
