Gerald Wallace and twelve #1s for Anthony Davis.

We can only trade 9, by my count, due to the Stepien rule.

 :)

(A thought. Honestly, what could we get if we bundled all of our most valuable picks together?)

2014 PHI
2014 BKN
2014 BOS
2015 BOS
2016 BOS
2016 BKN
2018 BOS
2018 BKN
2020 BOS

Wow that is so pretty to look at.  I just stared at it for a few minutes.  Imagine if we have a title contender by 2018 and then Brooklyn gives us a top 3 pick.  Ungh adsfljadlfj I can't even type coherently thinking about it

What about Eric Gordon, a 2016 first and a 2018 first for Humphries and Bradley?

It gets them out from underneath Gordon's contract, and Bradley is arguably a more impactful player than Gordon when you take defense into account.  Humphries is better than any center option they have on their roster right now unless they play Davis out of position.  They can make a run at the playoffs this year while also clearing enough cap space to be active on the FA market this upcoming offseason (if I'm not mistaken).

For us, we take on Gordon's awful contract in exchange for a couple of future firsts.  New Orleans is likely competitive by that time, especially if they add a big FA to their Holiday/Davis/Anderson core.  That means the picks are likely late firsts, which is why I'm demanding two of them.  There's also the chance that Gordon regains the form that earned him his current contract, which isn't a bad risk to take for a franchise in our position.

Feel free to toss us Ajinca as well if you think we aren't getting enough, though I honestly don't know how he's regarded as a prospect.

Not even Lebron is worth that... well, I don't know it's not like our own picks will be good with him... the most they could hope is getting something good from the BKN picks in the same way we are b.c the rest will be 30th. Looking at it again, we could get a good bundle of players but not KD or LBJ.

I don't know. We have a better chance of picking a player like KD and LBJ over the next few seasons than getting either of them with all those picks b/c all they are is a bunch of 25-30th if we get either player and some possible lottos... the other teams don't do it. Lol

That's a good question man!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

They don't have much at SF -- send 'em Green. Could do this:

I'd like to get Jeff Withey from them... far prefer him to Vitor. I've also always liked Aminu as a specialist. Don't care about Steamer -- they can keep him and send us Smith if they prefer.

And no way on Eric Gordon. No interest. Guy's damaged goods. Not interested in Rivers either.

I'd certainly take a flyer on Rivers.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Ugh. I'd rather keep Chris Johnson than end up with Austin Rivers.

i cant figure out what other players would help this trade and well it works i feel like we need to get a good young player and not a pick. i also dont get the projection for New Orleans.

Interesting. I actually would take a chance on Rivers. I don't see the downside...and he has been a little more productive this year, at least by the numbers. I'd plug him in instead of Steamer.

Agree completely about Gordon.

I wonder why Withey hasn't been getting more regular minutes - it seems like he's been productive for a rookie. Anyone have insight on this?

Presumably they value Rivers more highly than Greg Steimsma, mostly because he's young and they wasted a lottery pick on him -- and I'm just not interested in giving anything up for him, nor dedicating minutes to him.

Regardless, given the choice between the two players, I'd rather trade for Withey than Rivers.

Yeah......Davis may eventually be two things

The best big in NBA  and Laker.........I'm sure Mitch has a scheme in pace to steal Davis from the Pelicans.

Just like Howard and Shaq. .......Davis won't stay ......he ll bolt for Lakers  soon ad the rookie deal is done.

What about Eric Gordon, a 2016 first and a 2018 first for Humphries and Bradley?

Replace Avery Bradley with Jeff Green and add Jason Smith's expiring deal coming back and you're cooking with gas. Pels need a SF even more than they need a backup SG. Plus, more Gerald Wallace can only help the Celtics' odds of landing a top 2014 draft pick.

Gordon's contract expires the same year as Wallace's following the 2015-16 season. It might make sense to coordinate the two deals as it would allow the Cs to be big players in 2016 free agency and/or use the dealsas expirings in a package with picks for another team's star. It's a longer rebuild than some might want, but it's one built to last.

Building blocks of next Celtics dynasty:
Rondo
Sullinger
Bradley
2014 and 2015 First Round Picks
Star acquired via trade (using Cs surplus of picks and expiring contracts)
2016 Tier 1 Free Agent
