I'm sure names like Jeff Green, Avery Bradley, Brandon Bass, Gerald Wallace and Rajon Rondo have come up in many back-and-forth.

Forth? yes. Back from the Suns? doubtful.

The Suns aren't trading for Green, and Bass is a stretch. I won't even comment on Wallace. Why would they want Rondo when they have Bledsoe?

This makes me less hopeful that we'll swing a deal with PHO.

I think that if there were anything serious going on between these two, we wouldn't be hearing a peep from either one about it, even in jest.

I never had a lot of hope on that front.  The Suns GM knows our players nearly as well as Ainge himself knows them, so why would he take on our crap for any kind of value?  He knows only too well how little value there is there.

I don't think such a trade need involve taking our crap, or our trying to fleece them. They want to make a run this year and we don't - so there are some trades of the win-win sort possible.

Perhaps, but if the ideal scenario for a trade in one in which the other side values your assets more than your value them, the Suns don't seem like a great partner because the valuation is probably the same, except to the extent that the Suns may be interested in trying to be more competitive this season.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Oh, i know that track!! :)

It's on the CD with

"All your picks are belong to us" (ft. Chuck Norris)
"Playing checkers with a Doc(tore)" (king me, stop crying)

and many many more!!! ;D

Completely disagree.

If Courtney Lee in Memphis has taught us anything, it's that certain players do well in certain situations. Just cuz someone plays crappy in Boston doesn't necessarily mean he will play crappy on another team.

Point being: trades can be win win. They don't have to be win lose. Given that, when do you think GMs are more likely to trade? Easy. When the potential for win win is there. That's more likely to happen if you know the players involved.
