i hope you all enjoy theses meaningless wins that will stop us from getting a superstar in the next draft.sure it sucks losing but i rather hit rock bottom this year than be mediocre the next 5-10 years because we can't get a real superstar on the team.(no rondo is not,and don't exepect a free-agent one either)the draft is the only way we'll get one,and after having one it will be easier to get more

Magic
@76ers
Kings
Mavericks
@Bucks
Spurs
@Suns
@Lakers
@Kings
@Jazz

Home and away games are now noted. We actually play only three of those games at home.

I personally think 3-6 is a pretty likely outcome.

If Im Danny I'd resign Bradley and trade Humph or Bass. Other than that I can see him standing pat at the trade deadline. I doubt Rondo is traded until next season. I mean, I could see us trading Green or bradley but only if the deal is right.

I agree. Look at how good the Bobcats are with all of those top 5 picks. The Cavs look like title contenders and the Wizards....just look unstoppable.

There is a reason that for the last decade the lottery teams for the most part remain unchanged. Tanking alone will not win a title. I would think its likely that if the Celtics have a repeat of this season they will be looking for a new coach since Stevens will have lost the team. Danny doesn't seem like the type of guy that wants to rebuild for the next decade.

I get the funny feeling that the tankers in the crowd will go apoplectic if we win 7 of 10 and don't make any trades over the next ten days yet, that is exactly what could happen.

I don't know how likely that is. Its probably more likely no trades are made than the team winning 7 of 10 games but anything is possible as a lot of teams that we play over the next t few weeks are tanking hard.

Depends on context... the trade deadline is 6 games away.  Winning 7 out of 10 could still mean that we traded away the contributors.  If you're suggesting Rondo, Green, Bass, Wallace, Bradley and Hump are all still here on the roster 6 games from now and we're still winning games... Ainge has made a serious mistake.  7 out of 10 could mean we won 7 in a row, kept everyone... and are now on a 3 game losing streak stuck with our middling team no longer in prime lotto position.

1. I'm not sure this draft has a "real super star" in it. A few possible All Stars one day but no super star.

2. How's getting top picks helped all these other teams that have stunk it up for years?

3. You can always trade for players not just draft them.

Well, I predicted a 1 win month for January, and we won 2. The next ten games I'll go with 2-8, but 1-9 very possible. See us beating the Kings, at home, and maybe Lakers on the road.  That's it!
Our lottery status is secure!

I don't know if it will "obliterate our chances at the lottery," but I'd desperately like to see our team go on a little winning streak and play .500 ball for the rest of the season.

I think if the team went .500 for a month that would be quite an achievement.

The cavs drafted anthony Bennet with the firrst pick...THey are also located in Clevland...

If you arent completely incompetant you can build an exceptional team by getting top 5 picks. Also I'd like to hear your magical idea on how to rebuild while winning games. Want to be the Hawks for the next decade? Or do you want to get a high pick and turn into the 2008 Celtics.

3. You can always trade for players not just draft them.

(1) If I had to guess I would say you arent super into college basketball? Jabari has been compared to Carmelo, Joel Embiid to Hakeem, and then theres Wiggins. Im not even mentioning Randle, Exum, or Smart who could also turn into really good players. And while those could and probably are overrated comparisons there will be at least a couple superstars in this draft.

(2) Cleveland, Washington, and Charlotte are incompetant franchises. Although you know what your right, its not like this very team, within the last 7 years tanked and then won a championship the next year because of it...Oh...wait...that actually happened... ::)

(3) You can trade for players but it's usually going to be lateral movement. You're not going to trade a random pebble for a diamond ring. However, getting a high pick and packaging with another player could net you a Kevin Love, or Carmelo, etc.

  Sign me up for turning into the 2008 Celts if all it takes to get there is a high draft pick.

  We already did that, December.

Duke fan- Don't insult Parker by comparing him to Carmelo. He'll turn out to be just as overrated.And speaking of overrated, Wiggins isn't turning out to be "all that" like people on here kept going on about.

Embiid looks ok but he's no Hakeem.

Yep--that'd be what would make this season unbearable to watch.
