Not a ton of assets that exciting me there, and Deng nixed the chance to trade Green there (i think?).

A few ideas come to mind:

1) Waiters for Anthony & Clips 2015 1st -- would love this, but not likely considering they want to 'buy';

2) Bass for expirings.

3) Bass and Bradley for Waiters, exirings, Orlando's 2014 2nd rounder and Miami's 2015 1st rounder.

I'd do Bass for expirings.

Not enough to push them in the playoffs but maybe give a veteran to help steady the locker room.

Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

I'd probably do Bass for expirings too.

Not a fan of Waiters.

I think Waiters is getting a bad wrap, when it's Irving who may deserve it more.

The Cs struggle to score -- Waiters does not.

Yes, Cavs are having a disappointing year, but no way you are getting Waiters for garbage. He has way more value around the league than this.

Deng doesn't want to be in Cleveland, and he is a borderline All-Star each year.  Cleveland won't want to lose Deng for nothing, so make an offer of Green, draft pick provided that Deng signs long term with the Cs

I kind of agree with what you're saying but I'm just not sold on his being an upgrade to Bradley, both sides of the ball considered. Also, while it's clearly true that we struggle to score right now I'd only base my moves on what would help us in the future, assuming we bring in better players and start contending.

I'd be happier watching Bradley take 15 shots per game rather than Waiters taking 15 shots per game.

the key is to really check your sources. When the Steelers traded for the Jerome Bettis he was known as a problem player. However when he got to the Steelers Cowher that he was a dream player. Likewise the only reason the Steelers even signed Fast Willie Parker is one of the owners sons had seen him play in high school. The head coach screwed Parker over because refused to bulk up. The Steelers had zero problems with Parker (although he didn't fit well after they changed the offence but that had nothing to do with his attitude). Anyhow bad reps may or may not be true. Oh, by the way, all great players are divas. Bill Russell was a major diva but he certainly gave 110% on the court. The issue with divas is whether they can see the path to make everyone better. Remember Jordan scored a lot of points but won nothing until Jackson got him to blend with Pippen, etc. So Danny needs to check the background with Waiters to see if this is a long term or short term issue..

With Verajao gimpy and Bynum gone, I think that their biggest position of need is the front court .

We have two vets who could be of immediate help for them and give them a huge boost: Hump and Bass. Hump I think could be especially useful.

A body think of any good scenarios involving Hump? Maybe Hump for Waiters and Gee?

If Bradley signs somewhere else, we'd be watching neither take 15 on our team.

Maybe Waiters is a keeper, maybe he's not. I'd be looking for value in any deal, and otherwise trying to take advantage of the Cavs perceived need to move him.

Yup.......same exact thought too.

Cavs need NEW owners  , new GM , and new Coach

I sick of seeing that team getting every lottery eery year.......looking at the owners dorky four eyed kid.....

Should be a limit on lottery appearance s......they waste everything they get .......they ave had plenty of chances

It's time they play basketball to win......or.   Leave .......go away

Sell the franchise to another city.

What about Bass + Bogans for Waiters + Bennett?

Cleveland rids itself of their locker room problem plus the contract of potentially the worst #1 pick ever, while picking up an expiring and a nice post player. By all accounts, Cleveland is in "win now" mode for the near future. I would think Bogans expiring would be very valuable in their minds if they want to be a player in the free agency market any time soon.

Boston gets two young talented players with limitations. They're essentially buying low right now.  Send Bennett to the D League for the rest of the year and let him regroup. Bring Waiters off the bench and let him dominate the ball when he's running the show with the second unit. Throw in the Clips pick for next year if you have to.
