With the way this kid is playing in the D-league im starting to think he could in in the mix for our second pick in this draft.

He has good wing size 6'5 227 6'9.5 wingspan and can score. To me he projects as a JR. Smith type offense off the bench guy.

Yeah, if he lasts that long.

I'm actually a UNC fan so still bitter about the kid not suiting up for the Heels this season.  Good for him but watching PJ pour in 45 points is salt in the wound.

The dude can shoot the 3 ball, that's for sure. Surprised I don't see him higher in any of the mock drafts.

How come he's in the D-League?

As I alluded to up top, he started the season at North Carolina and would have been there best player and an all-american candidate.  But he and another player (in seperate incidents) were held out due to questions about improper benefits.  After investigations, one player (Leslie McDonald) was reinstated while PJ, it was determined, had too much dirt to qualify.

As it were, he left a UNC team that had trouble scoring because they lack outside shooting and can't hit free throws. Oh, what might have been.

i am a bit confused and would appreciate clarification.

if this guy is in the dleague, do the celtics need to spend a draft pick to get him? cant they just sign him...maybe even to a 10 day contract now?

I prefer Nik Stauskas or Wayne Selden with the 2nd pick.

I've been pushing for him all along. He a greater shooter who can create his own shot and an above average defender. He should be a lottery pick so getting him with our 2nd 1st should be a steal imo.
